Yeah Id say pretty much the same thing. I actually thought this was a pretty good movie and I have a lot of respect for Kevin Smith but I just think that his Indy stuff is better. I LOVED Clerks 1&2 but 1 is better and Dogma was just awesome. I cant wait for 2010, Tim Burton is finally directing the movie I have always thought would be perfect for him, ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Disney is involved, but as seen with nightmare Burton can make the most amazingly dark and beautiful family movie ever. I cant wait as Burton is my favorite Director of all time.

As you said the beginning was great. The drop delivered and there was some great airtime. Unfortunately the ride was pretty short and as you already said the second half was not nearly as good. BTW The supports are phenomenal. -
Rah God of the Sun-NL
the ghost posted a topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Here is my newest NL roller coaster Rah God of the Sun. It is a custom Gerstlauer launched coaster. The coaster is completely custom supported and all the inversions are completely custom. There are four inversions throughout the ride. I tried to make this like something Gerstlauer would actually make and I think I succeeded. The coaster is based on Ancient Egyptian Legend and Rah was the main god of ancient egypt. The coaster is in a desert although there is no real terrain settings. GET READY FOR RAH!!! Sorry but I cannot take screen shots for some reason. Rah God of the Sun.nltrack Enjoy your ride -

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

HRP seemed to have some charm that CF parks(I've only been to knotts) but all of its original beauty besides the streets of ghost town are gone. I mean its pretty hard to see the coolness and novelty of an old fashioned walk through school house with a huge large CCI roller coaster running next to it. Jds03 wrote The reason Disney is so successful is that the general public have and probably still will for a while, believe that a Disney trip is an trip unlike anything on earth, and they are willing to spend anything on earth to get it. Disney would be successful even if they had the common decency to give their customers their monies worth, but they don't have any common decency. They are money craving slobs and it seems that nobody is able to see that. First of all, i have never heard anyone complain about the 75 dollar per person ticket price, when you can buy two days at a cedar fair park for less, but wait! Have you ever wondered why they have to put multiple parks at each resort? Because that multiples the amount of time they get to take 75 bucks from you! Plus not to mention how they have the highest food prices, highest resort prices, and they have more expensive cheesy souvenirs than even six flags! WOW I really did not mean to start such a controversial thread. I just thought it would be interesting to hear input on this issue from an enthusiasts point of view. I LOVE DISNEY and don't at all believe they are a bad corporation. The reason I said if Disney falls the industry will fall is because how many parks do you know with old rides rides that consistently have over an hour line(Indy, space mountain, splash mountain during the summer) It is always crowded and most people love disney. I hate people who say they are too old for Disney like some of my friends. Disney is a corporation everyone should enjoy and they are the anti CP. Even with something like Toy Story Mania where the outdoor theming is not spectacular( DCA not Hollywood Studios) they still went the extra mile with posters, a huge talking Mr. Potato Head and a nice looking facade. Nothing at Knotts besides Jaguars liner has a touch of theme or charm like Disney. Close the thread if you want and I am sorry if this thread offended anyone. A battle was not the intended result of this thread.

Discovery Cove Trip with Pics
the ghost replied to ThrillsAndChills's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
ummm. I'm like 98% sure that new members are not supposed to post links to other sites. Anyway aside from the back seat modding the pictures were cool. What exactly is discovery cove? is it like seaworld? -
I have heard of a lot of cool parks going down. HRP(not great but better than CF) Certain Six Flags Parks, even Busch maybe. But I have not heard anything about cedar fair taking any bullets. Even the GP doesn't like them, they have a terrible season pass system, customer service, rough rides (cough Ghostrider cough) and honestly are taking charm away from parks, so why aren't they shutting down? Its pretty sad when SFMM is the park with the third amount of charm after the DLR resort parks( yes including DCA.) Does anyone know the reason why they are not in trouble because the only company I believe will always be fine is Disney, because if Disney goes down the theme park industry dies.

Its Cedar Fair, unless the theme you are referring to is trash cans or rides taking up classic knotts stuff( after pony express was built bigfoot rapids will never be the same) BTW A while ago I heard rumor that knotts would be working on something major in the future and I think I heard mention of a B&M hyper or mini hyper. Don't know for sure though, just saying what I heard. Don't know where they would put it though.

Mystery Mine...IN THE RAW!!!
the ghost replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That thing looks great. Is their any airtime on it at all though besides the drops. Is there any after the inversions into the station because it looks like their might be. This and sponge bob are still the only eurofighters in the us right? -

The animatronic musician was amazing, I thought it was real. BTW does the loop water slide actualy go upside down. ( Ive always though a water slide with an inversion would be cool, but now that it may be real I dont know if I would feels safe riding it.

Dude you are so lucky your parents are even considering letting you go. My Dad would flip out if I asked if I could go on vacation on my own in general, let alone a trip about coasters. Oh well Ill be 18 next year and will at some point go on a TPR trip.
