  1. OMG! I am so excited! I clicked the link to Great Projects and the photo is Troy from this past summer's TPR Europe trip. I'm right there in the second visible row. I feel so special.
  2. In the realm of "coaster porn", two trains looping simultaneously is definitely the "money shot"!
  3. Fantastic find! I was only 4 years old when these photos of Disneyland were taken, but many of the attractions look like I remember them when I started going there in the early 70's. I think the Skull Rock was near the Pirate Ship restaurant in Fantasyland. Seems to me there were some caves of walkways through it that you could play in. I secretly dreamed of being one of those tour guides, or Disney Ambassadors, with the riding crops and stylish hats.
  4. I am moist with anticipation!
  5. You funny man! And what do you mean "obviously"? My flame is pretty low, I think.
  6. I remembered when I read this that I had started out on the top bunk thinking it would be cute and all. Then nature called in the middle of the night, and due to my somewhat intoxicated state I nearly tumbled off the the ladder. I returned from the bathroom, and slept the rest of the night on the lower bunk.
  7. I *heart* Shane, too! Glad to see you are having such a fun summer, and experiencing many adventures. As always, I love the updates to your thread.
  8. Thanks so much Big Mike! Your pictures have sparked so many great memories of the trip. I hope you don't mind if I use the picture you took of Mickey and me as my avatar on FaceBook. Hope you enjoy the San Francisco treat! Ron
  9. I love Berlin. If they performed at the grand re-opening, I wouls SO be there. Yep - I'm stuck in the 80's.
  10. Have a super terrific Birthday!
  11. I seem to remember that it ran backwards as part of a Halloween promotion. I could be confusing it with another, though. I did ride it backwards once when it ran that way. Quite a lot of fun. I think I liked it more than the forward running train.
  12. Agreed. You're like, total Babe Force! Seriously, congratulations on reaching your personal goal! PS - the facial hair suites you.
  13. 7/10 - I did better than I thought I would.
  14. ^^^I think I did take that picture. I had forgotten about the magic window. This park was great! What spectacular views. The great thing, and scariest thing about the chair swings is how it looked like you were going to fly right off the mountain.
  15. Yep, that's funny - the umbrella thing. I work in a high-rise that has notoriously high winds swirling about it, even in calm weather. These storms really kick them up to gale force. I often wonder if it wouldn't be more effective to just start with your umbrella inverted, because it's going that way anyway.
  16. Here is San Francisco, we still have lots of tree branches littering the streets. I was having coffee in my apartment Friday morning, when I hear a loud cracking noise. I looked outside to see that a tree had been blown over just up the street. It fell on the back end of a parked car. The wind was terrible, and walking to work I was nearly blown over a couple of times myself.
  17. The last year I lived in Reno, 1996, we got about 4 feet of snow in just a couple days. It stayed on the ground almost all winter due to the lack of snow removal equipment. That really is quite rare, but it sure does make for a beautiful picture with all the surrounding mountains blanketed in white.
  18. Happy Birthday BG Robb!
  19. I really wish I could make it to the party, it sounds like fun. SoCal is only an hour flight, but I'll be in Miami boarding the Liberty of the Seas for a week on the Caribbean.
  20. It looks like I'm really high off the ground, but this one in St. Maarten wasn't as fun as the one I did a few years ago in Puerto Vallarta. The one in PV was all zip lines, and really high off the ground. That was a blast!
  21. I am so loving your TP, Lou! Brava! What a wonderful reminder, of a really awesome trip. And I'm flattered that you think I look like a catalogue model in that picture. I learned that pageant pose back in the early 90's.
  22. It could only be gayer if your were being driven around by a rainbow-feather-boa wearing drag queen, or big gay Rob!
  23. Some schools of dietary thought believe that eating breakfast "kick starts" your metabolism for the day. Eating early gets your body burning calories, which in theory would continue throughout the day. Starting it a 8am as opposed to noon would therefore give you an extra 4 hours of burn. I don't usually eat breakfast myself, so I cannot personally attest to the accuracy of that theory.
  24. Good for you Robb! Although I prefer my men with a little bit of girth, I support you in your desire to slim down. I will not jump on the band wagon of "this will work, and that will not", but I will offer this ... Fiber - it's a two fold deal. It will make you feel fuller than other foods, and makes you poop.
  25. You sew? What a surprise (a queen with a sewing machine, who'd a thunk it)! Nice costumes, and that's a great hair cut on you! Looks like you had fun. There was NO Halloween in the Castro this year, so I didn't bother getting dressed up.
