  1. When the things in the area all have 1 hour standbys, that really blows. Essentially, this new rule levels the playing field to some degree, but it makes WDW a much less desireable vacation destination, imho. I guess we'll have to limit our visitng to MNSSHP, where amazing, the park doesn't blow-up when the fastpass machines are turned off. -RO
  2. This is a HORRIBLE idea by Disney, and obviously being done to charge more for hotel rooms. Because only someone who can schedule fastpasses, in order around teh park, will want this to happen. The average person who is trying to get E-ticket fastpasses early, so they get them at all, is now going to be totally limited to what they can do during the day. This will not improve the guest experience AT ALL, unless again, you are using the new hotel perks. I can't believe they think this is a good idea. City Hall is going to be filled with irate families that had their Space Mountain fastpasses, ready for their one and only ride on it, spent too long at dinner, and now have to tell their 2 screaming kids, "sorry, we can't ride it, let's leave". How does that improve anything? I really can't see this rule lasting. It's going to be a huge negative for all those not staying on property. I'm interested what the on property perks really are, and how many FPs you can schedule. We may be hitting Orlando later this year. I would assume this just cost Disney at least three entry fees from me. More time at Universal I guess. -RO
  3. 619 miles between Singapore and Bandung. That's about a 2 hour flight. -RO
  4. I think the Texas Chicken sign was a clue to my awesomeness in figuring things out! And I like chicken. It tastes like chicken. =RO
  5. Being negative? Its not my fault Robb put a huge clue in another thread. -RO
  6. What do you mean you followed the clues? That WAS a clue, and I knew from it they were going there On this trip, and would obviously hit USS also. And I said it days before you. Plus, got the Love Boat clue. -RO!
  7. I already said that. That was THE clue. The only one needed. -RO
  8. It's referenced through the queue, that he's wanting some coffee. It's especially annoying if you must watch the ending multiple times, waiting to unload -RO
  9. As for where else you are going, I think you are going to Trans Studio Indoor Theme Park in Indonesia, which is a scary place. But the Premier launch coaster is a big lure, I guess. The recent TR for that park is where you said you might be visiting, soon. This is why I knew you were hitting Singapore, and I posted that days ago, but the post was deleted, saying it was a guess with nothing to back it up. That clue in your post to the TR thread was the only clue I needed, Saturday morning. I knew where you were going before the contest even started. [Vader voice]All too easy.[/Vader voice] -RO
  10. From Season 1 episode The Old Man and the Runaway/The Painters/A Fine Romance Will Geer is pitch perfect as the irascible old gentleman who finds a fifteen-year-old girl who is a stowaway in his bathroom. There is lots of banter between he and the scamp Bayn Johnson. One of Julie's brother's friends, is looked at with interest by Julie, no longer a young scamp herself with braces. His cabin mate is an older Lothario urging him to put the moves on Julie. Julie arranges two "professional" painters to paint the Captain's suite to his favorite longed-for color Singapor Sunset Saffron. -RO
  11. A park where the ride ops are Asian girls in cheerleader outfits!!! Greatest Park...EVAR!
  12. Results are out! El Toro wins! -RO
  13. It's not only that, but having the wind in your face will lower the nausea factor, which was fairly high for me, which is why Mission Space has some pretty serious cold air blowing on you. -RO
  14. Does anyone know if they are re-wallpapering the entire ride? Part of the emersion was that the video screens blended perfectly with the walls surrounding them, since they were printed from the same rendering as the original video. Upgrading the video, while keeping the same lower quality environmental look, will kill a lot of the seamlessness. I am REALLY looking forward to riding the new version. Now, if only they would improve the video quality of the Harry Potter ride, and buy some brighter bulbs. That ride didn't compare well with the old Spidey. This new one is going to make FJ look dated after not even two years of being open. -RO
  15. ^ Me too! Must be a big Olivia Newton John Fan. -RO
  16. Just posted my first one in many years. Did my best to drop T-Express and Voyage. Top ten: El Toro Phoenix Ravine Flyer II Kentucky Rumbler Ozark Wildcat(SBNO) T Express Raven Boulder Dash Mega Zeph (SBNO) Shivering Timbers Voyage is 16.
  17. Maybe the new attraction can include some grandstand seating at the end. There was quite a large group of guys at the bottom of JS when I was there. Apparently waiting for an errant boobie to pop out. -RO
  18. Perhaps while he's there, he can switch with robo-Obama in the HOP. Might improve things. -RO
  19. But that's the issue. If you fly into AD, then you are very limited as to what fun stuff you can do, since everything else really cool is in Dubai. -RO
  20. You guys did quite good then. But using the standard taxi rate to get to AD from Dubai is over $100, iirc. Heck, going to Atlantis from the airport was $15. Getting a taxi for 10 hrs for $150, and lots of miles, seems like the deal of the century. That tells me that there are WAAAAAY too many taxis there, and they spend most of their time waiting in lines to get fares. I always wondered about that, as we would pass the hundreds of taxis in line for fares everywhere. When I asked my hotel about taxis to AD, they were quite hesitant of me even doing it. It would require a lot of trust on both ends, and I didn't have that with some of the more Al-Queda looking drivers. -RO
  21. And that included the 150 mile round trip? -RO
  22. ^^ It's easy, but does take some planning, you guys were driven there by a friend. Taxis are an option, but you are looking at about 3 hours total travel time for the round trip, and probably close to $300. Now, a coaster fanatic would pay that for a ride on the world's fastest coaster, and I was prepared to. But few tourists would do the same. Plus, I know I wasn't really sure about getting into a taxi with someone who spoke little English, and getting them to drive 80 miles for me. Some of the taxi drivers I had, it would have been fine. Some of them, no way in hell would I have asked them to do that. Dubai is definitely the hub airport in the area, not Abu Dhabi. And all the other things, Atlantis, Ski Dubai, Wild Wadi, Burj Khalifa, world's largest malls, are all in Dubai, not Abu Dhabi. Plus, Dubai has a transit system to take you to everything. Ferrari World is very out of the way right now. Hopefully that will change. It has to, or FW won't be around. No matter how much money they have, when I visited, workers may have outnumbered guests. That isn't a profitable venture. -RO
  23. It'll be areas on to return, and drop by FR again.
