  1. Pretty nice! They have a decent amount of rockwork and a nice queue. It'll look even better when the plants and trees grow in, like Manta. The station interior is a little bare, but passable.
  2. Did I miss a rumor that Wicked Twister was going to get moved to one of the California parks??? On CGA's "20-year plan" they released publicly a while ago, it included a picture of an Intamin impulse. People starting speculating that Cedar Fair would send Wicked Twister to CGA. The plan also included a B&M Hyper and a Vekoma family suspended coaster. People should take those types of 20-year plans as just examples for new ride types the park wants to invest in and not necessarily what they will get. I mean, the plan in question never included an RMC Raptor, yet here we are.
  3. https://www.knotts.com/play/events/hangtime-preview-days-for-passholders Passholder Preview 5/11-5/13
  4. I don't think there is an exclusivity clause that would affect Knott's. I'm told that Knott's had a few bids (including RMC) when deciding to refurb GhostRider and the park chose GCI because they were cheaper. I wish everyday that they chose differently... Or that I could at least see what could have been
  5. FYI, they took the work walls down around HangTime. Maybe we might get info on a passholder preview or unannounced soft open before the 18th?
  6. I know, but taking this iteaser at face value, we know it won't be a steel RMC.
  7. Footers being built already. Basically confirming steel coaster... No RMC after all. But a sleuth on reddit (thanks, scott m) found this statement from an individual in the KW community. I wouldn't put TOO much weight into this just yet, but things are certainly heating up. At least the 2019 coaster is pretty much confirmed!
  8. Does screamscape's rumor line up with what you are thinking? I'm also surprised screamscape hasn't picked up on the filed trademark
  9. I'm skeptical too, but Lance never goes this far with a rumor he isn't sure of. I'm liking where this rumor is heading though! The US needs more Mack coasters for sure
  10. https://rcdb.com/2588.htm Not sure the best place to post this, but rcdb is listing Avalanche at Timber Falls as SBNO. Posted with this: Anybody have more information? Is that it? Are we closed for good here?
  11. It's seriously so mesmerizing! Everyone, go watch it now! https://www.knotts.com/explore/live-video
  12. RailBlazer has already started two-train testing! Here's the red train going down the drop (as seen by the webcam). They seem to be moving faster with testing than WW was. I'm sure they learned a lot from the simultaneous install and the second time will be a little easier
  13. I think this coaster solidifies Cedar Point as an enthusiast Mecca. Seriously, I think all of us will have to make an exodus out to f**king Ohio for this. Insane hype, but it seems to absolutely live up to it. I can't wait to experience it myself. FL+ between SV and Maverick is the most dream-like day I could possibly imagine
  14. No you're not wrong. Vekoma calls it "suspended," but the cars don't swing (like an Arrow suspended), so it is simply inverted. For example, SLC stands for "suspended looping coaster," but everyone knows they're just inverts really.
  15. Back in March, plans were submitted which included these images: It's for the new area behind Thunderhead and includes a coaster with a layout that's a clone of Orkanen at Farup Sommerland (A Vekoma family suspended coaster). There was lot's of discussion on page 1600 or so. No idea how you managed to miss this, it was huge.
  16. I personally don't really see why BGT would need another muli-launch, single-inversion, ~60mph, LSM coaster. Especially when compared to Cheetah Hunt an SRII is less long, has a significantly higher height limit (48" vs 54"), a lower capacity, and is simply less fun. An SRII wouldn't really add any substantial features that the park doesn't already have. But none of these applicable reasons stopped BGW either, so I could very well see it happening.
  17. Coaster at Playland is SO good! Glad it's getting some love here! Also, I concur that Medusa Steel is amazing. Definitely my favorite steel RMC Everything else seems to check out as expected. I feel privledged to have ridden 18 of the top 25 coasters at this point, but excited to ride 6 more of them in Europe this June!
  18. YES! It's pretty damn fast for no water dummies. It seriously looks like so much fun Now just waiting on that opening date
  19. This is the correct take. I'm reserving judgement on the straps until I experience them myself. But to tell you the truth, I haven't had great experiences with the B&M or S&S vests so I'm not exactly excited for these. Hey, at least there's no shin guards on these!
  20. Not the floor, just the train. There's been videos of the installers testing the conveyor system, it looks cool!
