For those who are still on board with the Mack Rides rumor because of this video ( ), please be aware that the German Factory worker misspoke the word 'Carolina' or 'Carowinds' and said 'California' by mistake. Sorry California locals who wanted Mack, looks like the S&S is sounding more and more likely.

Are you the one with "inside sources" at RMC? Have you heard anything? If it's not Mack, my guess is another Premier Launch I don't have any RMC sources, no. But I also don't see this being an RMC project. Sidenote - I don't really think there will be any domestic RMCs for 2019. No strong rumors, no closing wood coasters...

I am pretty skeptical of the Mack rumor (those things are expensive!). I also doubt it will have a dual-tracked ride (also expensive and redundant after TC 3 years ago). Neither of those things line up with how Six Flags has been financially operating for the past decade. I do think 2 launches sounds reasonable, but I still am not getting my hopes up too high.

There's a picture online of the alleged wheel - It's 100% one of the rubber drive tires from the brake run. In no way is a road wheel or from the train at all I'm not going to post it because it was clearly taken from the queue where you shouldn't have your phone. -

I think that trademark might only be filed in the US, not Canada. Correct me if I'm wrong -

A Ziz is often depicted as Griffin-like or simply a giant Eagle. Both of these have have the head of an Eagle, just like that poster. Lines up to me... Also, eagles definitely existed in the Yukon mining territory and all over Canada, even today. I'd say North America will be 4/4 with flying mythical creature themed B&M Dive Coasters. -

Agreed. And that is exactly what Electric Eel's system is. Lockers for big items (bags, etc) and a basket for smaller personal items. That employee who does the basket is also doing other important things too, not just the basket. -

I've seen station cubbies (or general loose article policies) work flawlessly at multiple different parks all over the world. Every Disney park, Dollywood, USJ's B&Ms, Holiday World, Europa Park, Liseberg, even SWSD nails it (Electric Eel has a extremely simple/fast basket system where you must leave your phone/wallet). It's really not that hard - any idiot can and does figure it out. I personally think the Disney-like system of having a pouch in front of you to put your smaller loose articles (phone, keys, wallet) would be PERFECT on a high intensity ride like Steel Vengeance. Forcing people to be without their phone throughout an entire queue is simply a bad solution -
What are you referencing? Probably the terrible reviews from the ride at SFDK! "Shaky" "Slow" "No interaction with the other side" "Rough" "Uninteresting" And the fact that Harley Quinn still hasn't "opened." The commercial shoot and media day was cancelled again last I heard. (Although I know it soft-opened for a few days)

Anyone ridden all the RMCs yet?

I've been on 12 of the RMCs, and I would say that sentiment is not really true. I feel like each RMC has it's own vibe/personality that's even hard to detect from a POV. Twisted Colossus has the dueling, IRat has the quarry (and superior trains), Wildfire has the pine forest/lakes, Lightning Rod has the launch, terrain and quad down. They are all similarly amazing that typically feature zero-g rolls/stalls as inversions and a lot of airtime, but how those things are presented to you is always mixed up and in vastly different settings. Even the similarly-looking rolls can feel very different from one another (Wildfire's last one taken at crazy speed, while IRat's roll somehow has airtime coming out of it). And the airtime strength/duration varies a lot from ride to ride. Many other models/designs feel much closer to one another or follow a formula: - GCIs (Every shaping of a turn/drop/airtime/whatever feels the same from ride to ride) - B&M Hypers (Drop, airtime hill, turn-around, airtime hill(s), mcbr, smaller airtime hill(s)) - B&M Inverts (A lot of these feel very similar to each other) - B&M Floorless/Sit down (Drop, loop, dive loop, zero-g, cobra roll, mcbr, corkscrews), - B&M Dive (Drop, immelman, mcbr, drop, etc) -
SeaWorld San Diego is getting a Skyline Attractions Skywarp Horizon for 2019! Blueprints uncovered by Screamscape indicate the Skywarp Horizons model will be built in the back of the park. Here's TPRs picture of the model from last year's IAAPA Here is the exact location in the park where it'll be located. I took this last weekend. The building on the right will be demolished

Woman gives birth at Six Flags Over Georgia, scores free lifetime passes http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2018/07/25/woman-gives-birth-at-six-flags-over-georgia-earns-free-lifetime-passes.html Interesting story, and good medical support by the team at Six Flags!! PS - Don't bother clicking on the actual article. It's Fox News and the comments are racist garbage.

Dollywood Discussion Thread
chickenbowl replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No, of course that's not what I'm saying. I simply believe there's a way to expand the park without completely razing everything in sight. Doing it this way is probably just cheaper/easier. I'm still hoping for the best with this, but I think it's fair to be bummed out at the loss of the forest that existed here -

That may be so, but it bums me out that park expansion is at the cost of the park's unique setting and charm. Dollywood has earned their trust from me with their amazing park, but I still have this nagging feeling that this move is too "corporate" for them... idk
