  1. Do you know what heartlining is?
  2. Opening weekend is June 30th - July 1st. And according to an employee, they are working faster than ever before.
  3. Layout-wise it may be very good. But I would've spent more time on it, the track contains a lot of bumps and there is a spot where the track hits the ground.
  4. My coastercount is at 40 at the moment. Not much, but at the end of the year it'll be at 85. I am sure my top-10 will have changed by then. I used to have a top-5 myself, so I had to make up the other 5 in a few minutes. 1. Expedition GeForce (Holiday Park) 2. Black Mamba (Phantasialand) 3. Goliath (Walibi World) 4. Tonnerre de Zeus (Parc Astérix) 5. Loup-Garou (Walibi Belgium) 6. Robin Hood (Walibi World) 7. Winja’s Fear (Phantasialand) 8. Winja’s Force (Phantasialand) 9. Trace du Hourra (Parc Astérix) 10. Vogel Rok (Efteling)
  5. After a lot of trouble I got this thing working! With four coaches... four coaches. I couldn't resist to make a video, although it's dark! Video! The drop looks weird from some angles, I know, but I don't have any more space for a completely curved drop. I have modified it a little bit though. I have also seen the loop is still a bit flat in the pictures. I have changed it a bit, it's looking much better now.
  6. I just finished the track on the first drop, I still need to support it though. I am in the middle of my final exams, so I'm not sure when I will post an update. They go berzerk very easily on these forums, lol. EDIT: Lucky bastards, you just got an update!
  7. Oh my! I forgot to post updates! Again... At the top of the launch is a zero-g roll. Almost perfectly heartlined, because I used a special tool to build it. I haven't built the first drop yet, but I have almost finished the loop afterwards. It's 6 ft. 4 tall. I have to adjust the top a little bit, because I think it is too flat. Here are the pictures!
  8. Could someone re-upload this? It has just been aired in Holland and fans are desperate to download it somewhere. I have the video on my computer, but I can't upload due to lots of internet downtime. Thanks in advance.
  9. After building a hypercoaster, I decided I wanted something with inversions. An ordinary megalooper wasn't good enough though. It won't start with a simple lift though. Inspired by the Incredible Hulk, I have installed a launch track at a 45 degree angle. Just like on the Hulk, it will be followed up by a zero-g roll. This roll will be at a height of 8.5 feet, making it the tallest zero-g roll ever made. So far I have the lift/launch with supports. It isn't working yet, but I will work on that next week.
  10. Last update! After this, it's time to announce something about Sagittarius... Lowest point right after the first drop. Looks like the track will ascend here very much. This column needs lateral support. Much progress since last picture! Can you say overbanked turn?? Lovely little support hanging in mid-air... What's that?.. Track!! We're almost there... That's nice! Must be a heavy load. Going down again. Last piece of track! Yes! You can do this, Mr. Crane! It fits. Speed o' Fear's track has been completed. The tubing has been placed and the first train is being put on the track. And here goes the second train. Thanks for showing your interest in Speed o' Fear. It has been taken apart completely right now and the time has come for Sagittarius.
  11. Time for another update! Nearly finished this time. They just keep on adding these large supports. Here comes the first drop!! We're almost out of supports... More track! Looks like that piece is going to be installed right before the brake run. I guess this one is for a highly banked turn. Here comes another piece of track. And another support column. Not much track anymore. And this piece will complete the highly banked turn. And that's it for now! Next update will be the last one!!
  12. I hope this will make your confusion disappear.
  13. 100 times Python (Efteling)... I got permission to fill up single empty seats, that way I didn't have to wait 1 hour for every ride.
  14. Time for another update! I am behind schedule... The ride needs some paths... Paths to entrance and exit have been placed. That crane is pretty tall... Another lateral support. Bückel time! The hill is nearly finished. There are still quite some supports to be placed. That's a steep batter brace. There are gonna be a lot of G's over there. Sexy track! The bückel is about to be finished. They started working on the first drop! And that's it for now! Next update will include the construction of the first drop.
  15. Read the first 'reality' update. You'll see this is the original Speed o' Fear. This time there will be more track, more curved track. And it will be closer to the ground. To get rid of some confusion: on the pictures you're seeing he construction of Speed o' Fear, not an enhanced version. The track is in place. Another support. Is it going to fit? Here comes the station roof! Cool! The tracks are going to cross over. Two new support columns. Hmmm... a hill section? I can see banked turn in the back! Definately a hill! And that is probably........ And that's it for today! Be sure to check out tomorrow's pictures; including ... I won't tell you.
  16. Sorry for being late. My friends were more important the past days, so that's why this update was delayed. This time you will see 10 new pictures. Including the topping off of the lift hill. It looks like the lift hill is gonna be very tall! Another piece of the lift. Is that the brake run? Lateral braces are very important at this height. Oh my! The top is going to be placed! Going up! Yes! It's in place! Hmm... work has started on a turnaround. Those supports look sexy! The track pieces are ready to be installed. And that's it for today! Be sure to check out tomorrow's pictures; including some trackwork on the bückel!
  17. 1. Uhm... track-wise there would be used 2 or 3 SS's. 2. When the train ascends the lift hill, it automatically slows down to the speed of the chain and then gets lifted up.
  18. Too bad you downgraded the quality of the Speed o' Fear part.
  19. Hello everyone. During construction I kept a lot of pictures hidden from you. This is because I haven't told you I was officially involved in the construction. Now the roller coaster has been completed, I was allowed to publish them. I won't post them all at once though. Every day you will see about 10 new pictures. I hope you will enjoy them. A lot of support beams have been shipped. And there is a lot of track too. The first track is in place. According to the supports, the lift hill will be right here. Yeah! We're going up! The first part of the lift hill has been installed. The crane is placing the next part of the lift hill. And yet another one! New support columns leading back from the lift. Gears eh? This has to be the station. And the station track is in place! Nice! Some extra columns to support the station floor. Looks like there will be a separate queue for the front row. That's where the passengers are going to exit the trains. And that's it for today! Be sure to check out tomorrow's pictures; including the topping off of the lift hill!
  20. Except for the POV, every part of the video is at normal speed. The POV would be too blurry to see, so I pushed the train kinda slowly through the ride to record the POV.
  21. Sorry to say so, but there are a lot of bumps and the track is poorly supported.
  22. Your time will come to ride at the Speed o' Fear! ... Actually it IS time to ride it!
  23. I expect the video to be finished sometime today. It WILL include onride material.
  24. Uhm... people... this ride has been open for ONE day! Why do you expect it to be perfect operated? And besides, I didn't mind I was able to do a double ride because of my disabled mother in law.
  25. Someone from Intamin gave me this picture. It shows the second train being removed. The employee told me Intamin decided to take off the train because of problems with the lift hill.
