  1. So they're probably going to the PR department right now, to prep for when this ride breaks down for the first time at the top when riders are stuck facing the ground at 335ft in the air hahaha. Now that will be hysterical. Start typing up that PR press release!
  2. Anyone going to Kings Island tomorrow? Care to go? It's supposed to be cooler and less humid, and I haven't been in a month.
  3. Coming up and over that loop looks like amazingly delicious painful airtime (nice) and then into brakes (terrible and possibly painful or shin smashing). How long do you think you'll sit on that brake run in that Cali sunshine waiting for the next train to move out of the station?
  4. I would NOT mind seeing a bit Katun like coaster, big invert. That is if KI is looking to build the 'tallest or biggest' If this is a big invert, it would have to be pretty big seeing Wicked Twister is the tallest, right? But of course Alpengeist is the tallest, and has the longest drop in a full circuit. Height is Wicked at 215ft followed by 205 - Alpengeist. Drop length: 1st 206 ft Wicked Twister Cedar Point Sandusky, Ohio, USA 5/5/2002 2nd 177 ft Aftershock Silverwood Theme Park Athol, Idaho, USA 7/21/2008 Giant Inverted Boomerang Jin Jiang Action Park Xuhui, Shanghai, China 9/30/2011 Goliath Six Flags New England Agawam, Massachusetts, USA 5/25/2012 Stunt Fall Parque Warner Madrid San Martín de la Vega, Madrid, Spain 8/8/2002 * 177 ft unknown Sochi Park Adventureland Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia 2013 Sky Mountain Mirabilandia Olinda, Pernambuco, Brazil 2009 3rd 175 ft Steel Venom Valleyfair! Shakopee, Minnesota, USA 5/17/2003 4th 170 ft Alpengeist Busch Gardens Williamsburg Williamsburg, Virginia, USA 3/22/1997
  5. Your favorite roller coasters in my opinion. The first time I rode Maverick I couldn't stop laughing I was having so much fun. Same with Voyage. Very fast paced, intense, great elements that hit you- make you feel something.
  6. UGH this is looks absolutely terrifying! I can't THINK of the last time a thrill ride/roller coaster has made me think/say that out loud. WOW! I need to get back to Florida and try this. Holy crap. Looks like the best drop ride.
  7. Great report! It's like which long long drive should I take...Silver Dollar City to ride Wildfire and Outlaw Run or East to I-305 in Dominion? Haha. Tough call tough call.
  8. Can anyone envision a layout? I'm not seeing it yet, but I could hypothesize a few. Not my photo. From KICentral. (SonofBaconator)
  9. It's the one thing that terrifies me. But the capacity is terrible. They take a long time to load and unload, so if there is only 10 people in line and it's 10-15 bucks and you haven't done it; sure go for it.
  10. Hoping to go to Kennywood this summer. Saw some of your Facebook updates, glad you had fun! Can't wait for more photos.
  11. When the Behemoth crew visited, they said Behemoth had stronger air in the back but Diamondback had stronger air in the front; there were mixed reviews as to who preferred which ride - some liked the terrain over the water, especially for night rides. The best is Diamondback during FearFest - the fog fills the valleys and pretty much makes them tunnels.
  12. We would have competitions with Behemoth to see who could have a better capacity per hour - hence the POWER HOUR! Although Behemoth needs a handicap because they have a turn out of the station to the lift hill we always won I can't remember what our record was, but we always kept the line moving at a crazy pace. I think it was about 1280 per hour on the high side.
  13. Oh my goodness this looks incredible! Great updates. Lovely photos.
  14. Mr. Freeze was probably the most underrated coaster I've been on, I loved the hell out of that ride. Of course everyone loves Maverick, it's got everything in a coaster; airtime, inversions, twists, drops - and I haven't had any problems with it being rough. California Screamin' is kind of weak but the ride overall is pretty great. Wicked Twister's launch is fun when you come through the station the second time around, impulse coasters are fun! I really forget about those rides.
  15. Who was anticipating these were going to Kings Island? I think I would have been one of the first to speculate haha
  16. That's too funny that they have another coaster with green supports and white track haha. Can't wait to see how this project turns out!
  17. Awesome update. I love log flumes and they really seemed to do a good job with this one! Ahh Ohio family? LOL I love the effort, that's hilarious! Nice to see familiar faces.
  18. ^^Wildebeest is one of the best rides I've been on. The airtime was insane! And no seatbelts or anything, you have to hang on for your life. Everything about the ride was great - the ride duration, the steep drops, speed, it really was better than 80% of the roller coasters I've been on.
  19. I could see them adding a wing coaster to keep guests from traveling to Cedar Point and Dollywood; Kings Island rakes in the attendance figures. But the problem I foresee is Mason (Kings Island's location) is flat, and frequently windy. With the light breezes shutting down Gatekeeper at Cedar Point I'd hate to see this potential new coaster closed often. That's just annoying.
  20. How is the Raven and Voyage running this year everyone? I miss Wildebeest. And Raven. And Voyage. A lot. Especially Voyage, the best coaster I've been on when I visited in '08-'09.
  21. But strangely enough people seem to like Behemoth better than Diamondback, and Intimidator (Carowinds) less than Diamondback. If we do get a B&M giga, I hope it will be an improvement over Leviathon, which I think was a waste of track. I mean look at that massive brake run. I'm hoping they do something with the 'roots' as in the terrain. Give me an invert, Intamin, B&M, giga, hyper, wooden, or especially a hybrid!. Make it a low to the ground terrain B)
  22. Can we start working on replacing all the worthless Windseekers with these rides like, asap?
  23. Wow Fort Fun looks like an amazing park! I love flumes with underground/dark sections.
  24. Wow I remember taking pictures in that area on the way home from Deep South the other year; it was just a grassy field. Very impressive! Great addition, it looks nice.
  25. Looks like a fun cute mini Prowler. Florida needs a wooden coaster.
