  1. I was at the park on Sunday and wondered the same thing about lack of signs for the new ride. It does make sense though that they will be coming soon since Robb said that the fence had just gone up. Without Deja Vu open that is really a dead area of the park for sure. I had no reason to be there other than to see what I could of the construction. I also agree with other posters that they need to do something with those buildings. They are really old and run down! Why not tear a few out and open up the view of Terminator?
  2. I can't wait to ride that Chinese knock off Dive Machine. After riding the Chinese SLC ripoff and fearing for my life, I can't wait to see what a vertical dive would be like. I'm sure the wheels won't stay on the track though!
  3. Thanks Robb. I just watched this the other night while stuck at my in-laws house in L.A. with nothing to do. It was a lot of fun. I am also enjoying the DVDs that I bought a few weeks back. Like Robb said, help support the site and buy a couple of DVDs. I know I will be buying more soon!

  5. Great TR! I didn't realize that Castle Park had so many rides. I was planning a trip down there in March on my was to Disneyland, but may hold off until my son hits 51" since you mention that height requirement for the coaster. (He is about 50" now!) I also posted my first TR in the wrong order, so don't worry about it. Thanks again for the great pictures!
  6. I'll be at Magic Mountain on Sunday. I can't wait to see how all of the changes over the past two years have improved the park. I will also try to get pictures of the slab if no one else has posted any by then. I haven't been to SFMM since WCB in 2006. I can't wait!
  7. I have just been catching up on that season of 24 this week and when the nuke went off the first thing I said to my wife was, "They just nuked SFMM!" Its sick, I know!
  8. I spent a month backpacking through Central and eastern Mexico last year with my seven year old son and never had a problem. While these areas weren't as bad as Mexico City, as long as you use common sense and don't go to the wrong places then everything should be ok. I would recommend that you read some travel sites and more general information on traveling to Mexico City. Mexico is a wonderful country and most of the people are incredibly friendly and helpful.
  9. ^I agree with everything you said. Dreamworld = mostly lame!
  10. I'm glad to hear you are feeling better and that your weight loss is going so well. Ever since I returned from my trip it has been nothing but weight gain for me. I hit the gym 3 or 4 times per week, but I can't stop eating all of the great food that I missed while traveling. IT MUST STOP SOON! Keep it up!
  11. Thanks for posting those. Great pics!
  12. Thanks Shane for everything. The Intamin catalog was fantastic!
  13. It worked great for me last night. No problems at all. Thanks again!
  14. Thanks Robb! This is great. I am looking forward to seeing it.
  15. The cheapest I have seen here in Las Vegas is $1.86 for regular. I wish it was approaching $1.50 like in some other parts of the country. Damn California and their strict laws that make Nevada gasoline more expensive because we get it from the same places.
  16. This is by far the best thing for Six Flags. In another article on the subject, it was written that the family knew that the process was going to be long and drawn out with multiple appeals, so this was the best conclusion for them. I'm glad to see that the family is satisfied, but this is still such a tragic and unfortunate story!
  17. ^I regret not going in the funhouse. It was the only clear day we had and we were pressed for time, but if I had to do it again, I would have gone in. Oh well, there is always next time. Simon - Thanks for the info on the DVD!
  18. It looks like Six Flags settled the lawsuit out of court. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hskCMyWbyAnGJjvnsHzUxOC6UwqQD94JHQL00
  19. I knew that was coming. Hey you win some and lose some. At least we are still in the running for the division. It was a disastrous showing last night though. There is no disputing that.
  20. Thanks for the TR! Tampa and St. Pete are pretty cool. We visited the big spaceship (Tropicana Field) for a Rays game when we were there. That has to be the worst stadium in the world! Busch Gardens looks awesome. As a Packers fan, you know what I am going to say about the rest!
  21. Great job everyone. I really enjoyed all of them. As for montezooma, well that was just awesome.
  22. Luna Park Sydney was originally built in 1935 and is located at Milsons Point on the northern end of Sydney Harbour. (Diagonally across from the Opera House and almost beneath the Harbour Bridge) While this park is old and historic, it has been closed several times and has a very rocky history. With the closures of Sega World and Wonderland, this is really the only theme park of size in New South Wales Australia. While Luna Park Sydney also has a clown face as its entrance, Sydney's version has changed eight times over the years. More information on this park can be found at Wikipedia. Here are some photos from our visit on January 20, 2008. Enjoy and keep the comments coming! Also, anyone who has pictures of this park can feel free to post them in this thread if they would like. I didn't really take pictures with the thought of posting them here, so I didn't get the best quality photos when I was there. Thanks again. Finally I leave you with a shot of a group of the crazy people that climb up the bridge. (Not that anyone on this site would do that!) I hope you enjoyed! It changes color depending on how the sun hits it. In case you though that it was white, here is the real color of the Opera House's exterior. Finally I leave you with a couple of random shots. This was taken inside one of the main lobbies in the Sydney Opera House! Here is a closer view in case you need some help! A couple of days later we visited the Opera House and got a nice look at Luna Park across the water. Can you see it? Before long the ferry came and whisked us back across the water. While waiting we couldn't help but enjoy the marvelous view. (This was the only clear day in 8 total that we spent in Sydney!) After looking around for awhile we headed back to the exit to wait for the ferry back across. While only rode the coaster, we did walk around to take in a glimpse of this historic park. Yay for Wild Mouse. POV Goodness! Here is that picture providing an exclusive behind the scenes look into the taking of that now infamous funhouse pic! A picture from the coaster of the park's funhouse which was built in 1935! If you look close you can see someone taking a picture of me! My camera was out in plain sight and I wasn't breaking any rules in taking these pictures! This coaster is simply called "Wild Mouse" and it is the only coaster in Luna Park Sydney. and that was to get my Wooden Wild Mouse credit. I was only here for one reason. Although we didn't ride it, I am sure the views from the ferris wheel are quite special. See! They use a lot of concrete here. This clown is a lot less scary than its Melbourne counterpart. Looking back at the bridge and opera house from the park's entrance. I think this is the place. Before long we were across and in the shadows of the fantastic structure. Yah! From the bridge we enjoyed a spectacular view of the Sydney CBD and the Opera House. To get to Luna Park Sydney we first had to cross the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge! (Jasmine is going to kill me for posting this picture!
