  1. Better yet, since SFNE will have 2 boomerangs next to each other, then Magic Mountain needs to recover whats left of the Batman/Shockwave Stand Up coaster that use to be at SFMM and return it to its rightful spot.....Two Stand Ups is what the park needs!
  2. I dont know why everyone keeps harping on this "they made a big deal out of having 18 coasters" crap...who cares? I paid just as much attention as everyone else did, and yeah, they mentioned it, but I wouldnt say they made THAT big of a deal about it...again, who cares? Its obvious they have something planned, and more than likely its something big...you all are just beating a dead horse with that....I am sure this Deja Vu plan has been in the works for some time....even before they started bragging about having the most coasters....even though it is SFI(and SFMM) I am pretty sure there plans have been well thought out!
  3. ^^As long as its the exact same one! Please!!!!!
  4. I think they should return Granny's Gran Prix and the petting zoo, and put it in that spot! But seriously...I am still waiting for a sweet ass interactive dark ride for the park!
  5. Remember, when you make a statement about SFMM being out of room(which its far from), dont forget, they have a TON of parking lot that they can build on as well!
  6. Ok, one more thing to say....a Mr Freeze type clone, maybe even bigger, would be great at the park...sorry, but MR Freeze is just kick ass, and when a Premier ride is lap bar only, they're awesome!
  7. Would also be the first Premier coaster for the park as well!...and thats all I have to say about it!
  8. yeah, just went back and edited the post to mention that!
  9. You know, Speed: The Ride does need a new home, and despite the fact that its short as hell...could be a nice EXTRA addition to whatever ride package SFMM gets next year....just lose the OTSR before it crosses the California/Nevada border, for Christ's sake!
  10. What about Goliath, Apocalypse, RRE, Canyon Blaster, Riddlers, Viper and Batman...they could all be moved...and the others could also be moved as well, with some adjustments.
  11. If they do remove it and replace it, maybe they have a total overhaul of that whole area planned as well...those buildings back there in Cyclone Bay are so horrible looking and out of place now...and after this, please, please please focus on the other side of the park....I can name 3 coasters on Baja Ridge that could/should be on the chopping block as well!
  12. How about a Splash Battle in that place? (Though the arena would be a better place for a Splash Battle)...oh, better yet...theres no Vekoma SLC in southern California, maybe one of those....j/k...I am sure the land wont be empty for long, of course, would they really invest in a new attraction for that spot if they world ends in a year in a half on 12-22-2012....hmmmm? Seriously though, if SFI is back to its ride rotation program...would there be any ride from another park that would be good in that spot?
  13. Why is the caption under the pic, at that link, a "republican file"? What the hell is a "republican file"?...hmmm, says a 2004 republican file photo...I get it now...just very odd!
  14. Who's to say SFNE wouldnt REMOVE the Boomerang they have already? Why are you missing out on that logic? Also, I doubt any US parks will be adding any new significant coasters(other than the ones currently being constructed)anytime soon. I will bet you the current economic conditions are going to put most plans on hold for several years(especially if we head into another recession). Perhaps this is why SF seems to be re-instituting a ride rotation plan again? If that is what they are doing....of course, both chains could pick up some bargains if they go shopping at Hard Rock/Freestyle/WTF park!
  15. Great report, as always. Ummm, no one seems to point out the name Vettle Engineering...EVERY single roller coaster source guide has his name spelled Vettel! Everywhere you can possibly look, thats how its spelled!
  16. Maybe Apocalypse can get renamed again....rename it and theme it after "Carmaggedon"...you know, with it still having only one train, it feels like your waiting in traffic on the 405 freeway anywya.
  17. I think everyone here is missing the proverbial boat(log jammers boat that is)...its been eight years since the park has added a parking lot coaster....thats where the next coaster will be going, out in the parking lot, next to Scream...shoot, maybe they can move Log Jammer out to the parking lot as well! Ahhh!
  18. Have no problem with people discussing it, but the whol american/european thing is done with.
  19. Ok, I am going to try and divert away the topic that has been discussed entirely too much here lately, and now that GL has opened up(along with DC Universe), I think discussion should be focused(here and within SFMM management) on where the next area of the park is to be redeveloped/fixed up. I am sure the park is already planning things, but I think the buildings in the back of the park need to be next on the list. That whole Cyclone Bay area needs to be changed. Seriously, now that Psychlone is gone, what back there(with the exception of the buildings) depicts a "Cyclone Bay". The buildings ALL need to be razed or majorly renovated, they just look horrible. And please, finally, tear down the station to The Dragon. Everything up by Katies Korner is fine, though I think they should tear out the arcade buildings there and put in a flat ride. Of course, everything on top of the mtn at Samurai Summit needs to be removed(bldg wise). But I also really think that everything in Baja Ridge needs help as well. I think this area is just missing something(probably a flat or two). And there is room back there for more development(but no more coasters, unless they want to rip out X2 and Viper and put in an Intamin woodie like T Express. Anyway, thats my contribution and atteMPt on swaying the conversation of this thread. Next!
  20. The last 20 pgs of this thread have been more entertaining than the recent seasons of Glee!, True Blood, 2 and A Half Men and The Office combined! And I have to say, I didnt think you could get more people complaining about stupid shit than they do on that whiny Brothers and Sisters. Seriously, been sick this past few days, tried to catch up on these shows, but the drama here is much more entertaining!
  21. They dismantle it and mark each piece one by one, then pack it up and ship it. They also will make sure they take every single measurement for layout purposes if the original groundplan no longer exists. There have been several wooden coasters relocated over the years, including the Phoenix at Knoebels, which came from Texas originally and most recently the Lil Dipper at SFGAM.
  22. I am going to jump into this topic by saying I rode it a week ago today and it was perhaps the smoothest ride I have ever had on it! We rode second to last row, was on the outside, and only head banged once, slightly, after the last inversion. I was very thrilled!
  23. ^ I respectfully disagree. Even if the ride was butter smooth, its quite boring now....it needs a massive reprofile to make it thrilling again, those turnarounds are so tedious and monotonous. Sorry, there just so much more thrilling coasters out there right now that it couldnt compete unless it had major changes to it. My opinion!
  24. Was at the park last thursday, and yes, SUPERMAN AND DEJA VU WERE BOTH ON THE FLASH PASS! It also says in the office the GL will ALSO be on the Flash Pass!
