I know its not in the correct direction(as of the picture), but could they not be headed TOWARDS Utah? Lagoon is building its new coaster as we speak! (For that matter, so is the Adventuredome in Las Vegas)I dont know the LA area well enough to know the locations the first poster mentioned.

I think that there wasn't ANY plan for the plaza...or really for the station for that matter...at least not a well thought out plan. That's why there never were any renderings published of the plaza and station, simply because it probably didnt exist and wasn't planned until the last minute.

^Hopefully not for long, as long as Cliff's lives up to their promise to resurrect Greezed Lighnin' from Astroworld!

Premier DOES make shuttle loop coasters!

Perhaps they will replace it with another shuttle loop....Speed the Ride is back up for sale! Would fit well into that park!

This is a little off topic as well, but Screamscape is reporting that PETA just bought major shares in the company last week when they went public....and their first item on the menu is to demand that the parks release ALL of their Killer Whales! wow, just wow!

Very Impressive looking floats indeed. Just saw the ORIGINAL Baccha-Gator float last night(the big alligator float) that appears in the Bacchus parade here in New Orleans. Universal did an excellent job of recreating it, as well as the other floats look great too. They really capture the grandiose of a Mardi Gras parade!

How about next winter they close it and have a "NYE Ball Drop" from the tower with a large concert their at the park, some mega-band! Never mind, thats kinda lame.

^^I agree Rob...I LOVE Premier Rides, and I think, if given the chance, they can and could have come up with something SO kick-ass for the site! I just think SFMM wanted to take the easy way out. Even if it wasn't a air machine ride....I always thought a BIGGER, MORE INSANE version of Poltergeist or one of those clones, would have filled up that space nicely!

Wow, slowed way down on here....guess its time to start talking about the NEXT rumored coaster/project, not much more to say about Full Throttle!

Six Flags use to spend a lot of money on coasters....even Tatsu cost 21 Million...but under the previous Dark Lord's reign...he vowed that the company would never spend that kind of cash on a single coaster again!

^I am too....and I actually like the color scheme....theres already a lot of color at the park....I think this color scheme makes it look more sleek!

Well, at least we know it wont be like Superman at SFDK, like was anticipated here....I love Premier, and this looks great, but the look of their new train designs just doesnt sit well with me for some reason!

I like it, I think its going to be very fun....but I agree with everyone else about its length....has MM decided to only do short coasters from now on....was this that expensive that they couldnt have made it longer(same goes for Apocalypse)?

Jim Seay from Premier was the engineering and maintenance exec at SFMM prior to joining the Premier team. I actually love Premiers innovations....they created the LIM's and the "tophat" element....and I would go on a "inside tophat" any day over an "outside tophat". I do believe that several of the founding members had coonections to Arrow Dynamics as well.

I do agree that one incident with the cable doesnt mean all the hydraulic coasters are sketchy, but just so you know, there was another incident with a snapped cable last week on an Intamin coaster at one of the English parks...

Sorry to be the pessimist here, but I have a feeling the coaster will be delayed to 2014. Like a lot of the biggest companies in the country now, who are currently trimming budgets or postponing upcoming projects due to the "weakening" economy and the uncertainty about "taxmaggedon" that is coming in December, I just have this uneasy feeling that there going to wait and see first. I really hope I am wrong, but I wouldn't pass it by them.
