  1. What are you talking bout' theres one right down the street from me, you go in sit-down and get the buffet when you want. (I think thats what you meant.) Yep, have one around me as well...It gets VERY busy at lunch time too.
  2. The park seemed to be pretty busy most of the summer this year in the times I went by it on my way to work. This time of year is ALWAYS a slow time because most of the snowbirds have yet to make it down here. Even the local business are feeling that. Cypress has been doing a LOT though in recent weeks. A lot of concerts, and not all of them washed up people. They are holding a local benefit for the SPCA in Oct. I know they also re-opened the train after they had to rip it out with Starliner's install. I hope to take advantage of this deal and go visit soon. If you really want to be cheap, you can park your car across the street and walk over..thats what a LOT of ppl do
  3. Looks like Cypress Gardens here locally is looking to drum up some business in this slump we are having...This is the worst time of the year for them as the kids have gone back to school, and the snowbirds have not yet arrived.. So Cypress Gardens is offering admission to the park on Fridays throughout September for 5 bucks! Yup...$5. Now that is a GREAT deal. And if you happen to be a gold passport member, you can get 2 ppl in for free.
  4. As an avid WoW player...I went through this wondering how in the HELL did you manage to get to some of those zones on such a low level... Nice little intro to WoW though...I am still amazed to this day how much the game has to offer, and looking forward to the upcoming expansion.. As for your guild...kick everyone out, and keep it as a 1-man guild...when you get enough gold you will be able to buy a tab in the bank, and have more storage.. If you need any tips on earning money..let me know..at the level you seem to be, you should have a LOT more money than you do.
  5. WHOA....When they start teaching that in public schools? No school here for me...been out of HS now for 13yrs
  6. That pizza is the best frozen pizza ever!! And cheap to boot!
  7. I think the location is bad, but I honestly think people will pay to do it. Funny thing they are hyping is being able to watch a shuttle launch from inside the cabins... Of course the shuttle program as we know it ends in 2010, and depending on the wheel opening....
  8. The ride is still there, it is just closed and you cannot get to it
  9. I still remember the long rumors to have it "moved" to another pier, but the cost would be to high, so it continues to rot in the salt air. The last time I got to ride this was when they opened it briefly during the early "Dinosaur Beach" days. Hunts always was my favorite pier. The train, the log flume, The Flyer, the pirate ship. Its just a shame that such a wonderful pier is now nothing but go-karts.
  10. Just saw this in my local paper... http://www.theledger.com/article/20080715/NEWS/29136208/1410&title=Theme_Parks_Not_Part_Of_InBev_s_Corporate_Structure
  11. They expanded the waterpark more...Its now called Splash Zone. On my last trip to Wildwood to visit family, I considered going, then decided against it, as it seemed smaller than the ones on the Morey's Piers. Speaking of fires, I heard from the in-laws that there was a recent fire on Mariner's Landing, right behind the arcade. A lot of people are claiming "Jewish Lightning" on that one. Another famous fire, was the fire at Sam's Pizza a few years back. I was happy to see they rebuilt, but I do miss the old Sam's.
  12. A waterpark... When I heard that the castle burnt down because of some punk kids...I was pretty pissed. This may have been cheesy, but I have a LOT of memories from that place.
  13. Well if it is anything like the XM/Sirius merger, maybe it will stall out for over 18mo Seriously though, in the long run, will people boycott Bud beer and other products? I doubt it. It makes me sad that a company, that has supported this country and our troops for so long, can even think that people will be happy about a sale to a foreign company. So much for buying American. As for the parks, what will happen to them if say Six Flags gets them? What about Cedar Fair? They have already closed down one park, why not ruin what we have here in FL. I know I will have to think long and hard as to whether or not renew my SW/BG passes.
  14. I agree...thats just wrong...and NASTY...and when did they make you start wearing a t-shirt? I cannot believe it has been almost 9years since I moved from Wildwood to FL... Nice to see the shot of the tram car, in front of my old workplace, Mariner's Arcade.
  15. I am just floored with this one... HUGE Carlin fan....got to see him perform live... RIP, thank for the laughs.
  16. I wish I would have been aware of that last week when I went....Is it possible to turn it in later, or does it have to be the day it is issued?
  17. ^Holy crap! My hubby would have lost it if he was awake. He DOES NOT take to dentists or anything having to due with blood very well due to some traumatic episodes as a young child. He went to an oral surgeon, who gave him the option of awake, or asleep. He said "Knock me the hell out!" But to the OP, expect pain, and being uncomfortable. You will have trouble talking at first, due to a crap load of cotton in your mouth. Just don't talk to anyone. Its a good excuse for people to leave you alone..LOL
  18. Hubby had is out years ago...He had all 4 removed, 2 of which were impacted and in pieces. From what I remember, he got to keep 2 of his teeth, 1 normal, and 1 impacted. We still have them lying around somewhere, in an envelope. Never know..LOL As for the surgery...he had cotton in his mouth for a while, he drooled a lot, lots of it blood. You have to be careful you do not get something called "dry socket" He was given pain meds, and was back to semi normal within a week. He said during the surgery, he started to come out of it, he said he could hear the music in the office, and the machines, then nothing till I was in recovery with him. Its not a heavy of anesthesia as when you have surgery in the hospital. When I had my gall bladder out, I remember being wheeled into the OR, then waking up disoriented in recovery.
  19. Second Life is nothing compared to WoW...but then again, people try to have sex in WoW too... You can find me and my merry bunch of guildmates on Undermine, a crappy low-pop server.
  20. Bret Micheals at Universal Studios for Mardi Gras on 2/2/08
  21. From what I read, he was found dead in bed, naked, with a bottle of sleeping pills nearby. He was found at 3p this afternoon by his housekeeper who was letting him know of his massage appt. It is a real shame. He was one hell of a hottie, and I do believe that Dark Knight will now have The Crow like fame. I still think it will be a great film. I fell in love with him in The Patriot!
  22. CG does have an AP that includes parking now. and the park has not closed at all since it has re-opened..so why would it close again?
  23. From more info I have been hearing about the changes to the park, they are looking to increase the staff, fix some buildings, fix the ride area, and give everything a spruce up. They also want to reach out to the local business more and increase advertising. They also plan to work on staff loyalty and happiness. They feel happy staff will spread the word of mouth about the park. As for the park being done for...I just do not see that. In the winter when the kids are in school, the senior who live in the area come to the park, and in the summer, all the local kids flock to the waterpark, dragging along the parents. I think it will work out well for the park, but only time will tell.
  24. Found this today on the local newspaper site... http://www.theledger.com/article/20080102/BREAKING/74189326/1039 I know attendance at the park has been steady over the holiday. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
  25. To resurrect a month old topic...I found this today... http://www.snopes.com/politics/christmas/hohoho.asp
