  1. Um, just because they may seem wrong to you, does not mean they are wrong for everyone and i am sorry, but this is not your job, if you don't like a certain ride, don't ride it.
  2. But see that's the point to you guys and crazed Disney fans, it may seem that the quality level has slipped, but the people who take there once every few years trip to Disney they don't see that. It has been 14 years since the last time i stepped foot in a Disney park and i can say the next time i go, i don't care that Stiches Great Escape maybe crap and at Toy Story i might hear a tram from another room. The only thing i care about is that i will be at Disney
  3. Just got a great rate at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo ( A Disney Partner Hotel ) for $195.00au a night for 3 nights in October a saving of $300.00au per night.
  4. I would guess with my limited use of japanesse ( and will learn about 20 words or so ) i would be better off staying close to the resort area, but in saying that nice to know that the ticket machines use english. I must admit i always new that Japan was not cheap ( the airfare to get there is and the Disney tickets are not too bad ), but some of the hotel prices are just silly. The Hilton Tokyo Bay was nearly $3,500au for 5 days!! Since i will be staying only a couple of days and that October is the off season, i should be able to get nearly everything done, yes?
  5. Heading over to Disneyland/sea in Oct this year and was wondering if you guys can suggest somewhere to stay, that is close by and since i am going by myself hopefully not too pricey. Also since i cannot speak a word of Japanesse, would it be wise to learn a couple of words? The trip will be very quick just 3 nights/4 days. Thanks
  6. Rooboy, your letter got this reply... World-class? Not for that money "nearly every major city has a world-class theme park". This is not even close to being true. The few world-class theme parks that do exist are in regions with high year-round flows of international tourists. In any case, there is no way that a $220 million theme park could hope to reach world-class standards. Disney's Animal Kingdom, for example, cost about $US1.5 billion more than a decade ago. David Hancocks, former director, Werribee Open Range Zoo, Carlton
  7. The spider was a Golden Orb, rather pretty in it's own way. As for the money goes thru the wahing machine without a care in the world.
  8. Does anyone still have a copy of the art work for this coaster as it seems this idea will never the light of day. Pity it sounded like a great ride.. "You Enter the Addams Family Mansion and go into the study and have preshow with Thing after the preshow the fireplace explodes into a huge flame and a secret passageway opens you walk up into the attic where uncle fester has built a new invention and wants you to be the first to try it out as you are waiting for the coaster to go with out no warning you are blasted down to the addams family basment stright into the family catacombs and out of an open grave as you are spinning & twirling around the addams family graveyard you have to dodge gravestones etc. and then you go into the another grave and then the ride is over and you are now apart of the Addams Family It's an Addams Family Reunion!
  9. Zen Coaster, also seems to be a Topple Tower in there as well.
  10. This thread is one of the main reason i love Theme Park Review.
  11. Probably a spooge stain. Haha. I actually think there was a small metal placard on it but it fell off. Funniest post ever!!
  12. Maybe Rude was the wrong word to use, full of themselves would have been a better word to use, but in saying that Movieworld does have some great rides.
  13. I have always had more fun and the staff alone are a major reason to go back to Dreamworld, moreso than Movieworld, i find the staff at Movieworld rude.
  14. Um, it's a crocodile. ( which we are hoping might eat the rest of the Irwin family!!)
  15. Last time i rode Cyclone it was the smoothest it had been in years, fast smooth and packed a punch. Runaway reptar is a great little coaster.
  16. Wonderful funny, charming movie. Congrats on the nom.
  17. Why say sorry, I hated Cloverfield found it to be a big pile of crap. But if you loved it and the movie worked for you, you should never have to say sorry that you liked it. The world would be a boring place if everyone loved the same thing, and you should never have to say sorry!!
  18. Cloverfield 1/10 73 minutes of nothing, characters that you you care nothing about and it's sad when you starting willing them to die. Over all there was nothing about this movie that made it watchable or worthwhile, what for the DVD, start drinking and hope that cures that numb boring feeling that this movie serves up in spades. This was beyond awful!! This would have got a zero, but the new Star Trek trailer is shown
  19. Sorry to threadjack for a moment, could someone please tell me the name of that coaster and did anyone have a chance to ride it? Thanks Back to Knotts, this looks a bit like the new Motocoaster on the Gold Coast, Family ride!
  20. I will go with his listing. Off topic what was the uproar over the name about?
  21. Wow, How stunning is that? Beautiful
  22. Disneyland first here, back in 1988 on a package deal from Australia. I think for just over a grand got return airfares ( MEL/LAX/NYC/MEL) seven days hotel at the Disneyland hotel and seven days entry into the park. Walt Disney World in 1994, stayed at Dixie Landings for 9 nights with park tickets for around $350 per person. Disney ended up offering us extra nights and park tickets for $50 dollars per night...
  23. I love that tag line, may i steal it?
  24. If you guys ever make over this end of the world (OZ) we have Aussie Pizzas ( Bacon, Egg and Onion ). Mouthwatering good Pizza. As Always thanks for the update, Robb.
