The next video is Six Flags New England's Superman: Ride Of Steel. My fav... http://s46.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0OOI6E7P2Z7VW1RITJNRE4WVA5

I'm not sure what type of coaster it's going to be, but a flyer I picked up at a local hotel for Edaville USA in Mass says they're getting 2 new rides. On the front of the flyer, it says they are getting "Little Drummer Boy" in summer, and a coaster in winter. I know last winter, there were pieces of a tumble bug in the parking lot (Whalom's?) I hope it's something different, though.

So far there's only travelling Tangos. I know there's at least one travelling in the US. (Reithoffer Shows) brings one to the Brockton Fair near Boston every summer. They're very intense rides, the multiple axes get really confusing. Also, you'll notice there aren't conventional seats, more like bike seats that you stand up in, with your feet hanging. I don't find the ride to be painful, but a couple of my friends wouldn't ride it again. One Tango was lost (I believe it was Amusements of America's) when the truck pulling it flipped over. I'm not sure if they ever replaced it, or if perhaps another show picked one up, but Reithoffer's is the only one I know of in the US. In Europe, however, there are a few... one's themed to Star Wars, one's called Equinox, and one's called Sky Trip.

Intamin/B&M vids are on the way, in the mean time, check out these KMG flat rides... KMG Freak Out http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3R8Q4BXTORGRO32VRL8E0J7930 KMG Tango http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=22WP6GDK4MDYQ0M1LHBIOT5FDL I've also made a Superman video (SFNE), and a Boulder Dash video and I'm working on some Cedar Point footage. I should be able to get these uploaded by Thursday. I'll post the links in this thread rather than start a new one.

The most *gasp* flat ride ever!
ECZenith replied to RctInfinity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Tango is the only other ride I found to be more intense than a Top Scan. It's coming through my town next week at the brockton fair in mass. Check out this video from last year's fair. http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=22WP6GDK4MDYQ0M1LHBIOT5FDL -
The music is the band Orgy (Vapor Transmission & Suckerface) Glad you guys enjoyed the video. Superman at SFNE will be next.

Who makes the best coasters?
ECZenith replied to Gregory DG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Most of my favorite coasters are Intamins and some B&Ms. But I also think companies like Premier are underrated. For wood, CCI & GCI are my favs. -
Thanks! I've got to look into getting my own site so I can post larger video files. The videos look great here, but once I get them online, they look a little fuzzy. Of the following rides I have trapped in my DV tapes, which would you like to see edited next? Millennium Force Superman: ROS (SFNE, SFA, & SFDL) Incredible Hulk Dueling Dragons Batman & Robin: The Chiller Raptor Mantis Nitro Batman The Ride (SFNJ) Wicked Twister Steel Venom Dominator (GL) Countless SLCs, Boomerangs and way too many other rides to list here. And I have even more flat ride videos. I've got pretty much the whole Huss catalog in video form, except for the Booster ride. Huss Giant Frisbee Huss Frisbee Huss Condor Huss Enterprise Huss Skylab Huss UFO Huss Top Spin Huss Magic Huss Ranger Huss Rainbow KMG Freak Out KMG Afterburner KMG Tango KMG Move It Mondial Top Scan Mondial Splash Over Mondial Revolution Moser Gravity Tower Moser Super Loop On Top I'm hitting the west coast late this year and Europe next year so there's more on the way.

Here is a 5:45 video of Top Thrill Dragster, Storm Runner, and my previous Kingda Ka footage. It's only my second video and my first with music... not the greatest quality as it had to be resized, but I hope you'll enjoy it anyways. http://sean.elitemrp.net/ More videos to come.

I agree with you on Darien's Viper. It's a nice little custom design with the Batwing inversions and a tunnel.

Six Flags New England Photo Update
ECZenith replied to coasterbill's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yup, Houdini and Joker had power problems where if the main power was unavailable, there'd be no way to power the ride up to evacuate the riders. How have the lines been for Pandemonium?I'm heading up there Wednesday to snag some video footage and hit the coasters. -
What is your favorite Roller Coaster?
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!

Nope, no Vekoma Vipers, even outside Six Flags.

New Superman Update
ECZenith replied to thunder001's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's definately not 40 stories... more like a 131' tall top hat. A holding brake would be interesting, but I doubt that's happening. I'm curious to know how "Superman flies the train to safety" And Coaster1, Kingda Ka isn't a clone. Every rocket coaster has been of original design. :o -
Why you don't trust carni rides...
ECZenith replied to Angry_Gumball's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just got home from a carnival to hit some flat rides. (Foxboro, MA) While I agree that some rides look shabby and could use some paint, I trust traveling rides as much as flat rides at amusement parks. The ride jocks on the other hand, are usually in worse shape than the rides. -
What is your local park?
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Six Flags New England is the closest. It's about an hour and a half away for me. -
Hershey has Sidewinder, a Vekoma Boomerang.
-
I only have a problem with the SLCs, and some SLCs are smoother than others. Boomerangs are just boring and I mind as well have one in my backyard. Everything else Vekoma that I've been on hasn't given me a problem. The Flying Dutchman and LSM coasters are really smooth and I even like the Vekoma flying coasters over Superman Ultimate Flight.

Track on Site For Superman
ECZenith replied to thunder001's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Nice! Thanks for providing the links. -
My Storm Runner/Dragster/Ka video shows Dragster's launch mechanisms up close but there is also music in the video. I will get it posted sometime in the week to come. That cable just screams as it launches the train. THE POWER!!!!

The most *gasp* flat ride ever!
ECZenith replied to RctInfinity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree with Flying Scooter. I hate ferris wheels and skyrides. I don't like rocking back and forth especially if I'm stopped up high. There isn't a coaster tall enough for me but hell no to ferris wheels and skilifts. As far as intensity, I 'd have to say Top Scan is the most intense ride I've ever been on. Strate's Top Spin is pretty high up there too. -
Rides to go to first at SFGAdv?
ECZenith replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Definately Superman Ultimate Flight first. The second train is still in pieces and the queue time can get up to several hours. Nitro has the second longest wait, and then Chiller, at least that's how it usually is when I visit. Batman The Ride can get crowded sometimes. The rest of the coasters are usually walkons or have waits of only a few minutes. -
Thrope Park's new coaster?
ECZenith replied to SLUSHIE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Let's hope so, or those are going to be some ugly-ass trains.
