*Flyer* ~NoLimits~
AlmereStars replied to dr.gumbo's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I think that dr.gumbo actually did a really grat job with this flyer with a good pace. Many people don't notice that flyers in Nolimits seem to lose speed very quickly and making an extremely well paced ride with exceptional amount of inversions is a difficult task. I think the layout is pretty awesome with what he was provided with... Also very smooth... mmm smooth...ies... *runs to McDonald* But I believe it was a little bit tame... just a little bit. Maybe it was the height or the lack of inversions, but just a little tame. Not much of a problem because you really concentrated on the sensation of flying which Vekoma Flyers lack in. I'm making a flyer myself right now and know the hardship of making one compared to other type of coasters. Because I have always seen dr.gumbo as my competitor in Nolimits... I am anxiously working harder to get mine finished... dr.gumbo, watch out for my flyer lol... Overall I give you 8.5/10 Good Job... Keep making coasters! that's true, it always seems slow -

okay here we go! + Custom supports / 3d's + it's really flying, instead of laying on your back + smooth as a baby's bottom - the pace, it takes some turns quite slow. but i'm a pace freak, so that could just be me - short lay-out really good coaster, with nice custom stuff (station looks cool). But I'm dissapointed that it's quite short -

I knew someone would mention that sooner or later. I had no intention of making the lift face upwards mainly because it removed the feeling of flight. Just imagine that it can fold up both ways if it bothers you. uhm Dbru? sounds like you've read my flyer coaster thread where jarmor already points that out i'm still waiting for dr.gumbo to release this! I don't really bother for, since the B&M fler isn't available in NL -

^ it's hersey!! the one place on earth you should expect some good, non-good-for-your-health, foot. Well since I never been to America I always thought Hersey's is one park you could never miss coming too america, but this report changed my mind somehow. Although the bars-only coaster is really interesting.. they seem to die all over the world never knew why? -

AlmereStars replied to coasters 4 me's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
it is zipped, but with a program called WinRar (a better version of zip). you have to unrar it with WinRar, then copy the folder to (../rollercoaster tycoon 3/style/themed) ow and be sure that the folder you copy has at least a style.unique.ovl and a style.common.ovl in it -
oew now i'm jealous, what are we supposed to "not forget" on 30th of april??! btw, that kiddie coaster kicks butt

AlmereStars replied to AlmereStars's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
@jarmor: it's not the most realistic coaster, but it was more the idea of a launched flyer (just like yours). I know it doesn't have alot of custom supports, but this is the first coaster where I tried that, so its more of practising then making supports @someone: post #5 there's a download @rct3man777: sorry, their won't be a vid. the program I used gave me an all black screen when I tried to play it -

I agree, a launched B&M would fit a tnt-themed area but stop teasing! give us some normal pics!! sorry, thats the patience side of me talking -

well I always have bumps, but that's because I don't have the patience to make it completly bump-free, or at least sort off bump-free. the focus is more on the lay-out and you gave that a high number tnx for that! -

AlmereStars replied to sfkk339's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I did enjoy + not a bad lay-out + a zero-g roll that's smooth! - every node begins with a minor bump, don't know if you used any tool or something? I geuss so - the opposite of the first + is that the lay-out is a lot of linking inversions together, which is not bad. but I like to see more airtime hills instead of the 2 hills you have now, make a hill-run at the end or something? - the last turn is transported, I don't like that. if you make it slightly going down you don't need it and looks better. as you can see 2 out of 3 bad points are personal. overall I think it's average, but it would fit in almost every park! ow and I think the color is too bleu...ish. with that I mean too sharp. -

it's going to be a western themed area with a coaster named Dynamite and a flat ride named TNT! (did I win?) -
[NL] The Crow
AlmereStars replied to AlmereStars's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
sorry for the doublepost, but the coaster is done! Statistics: - almost 1 km long (925 meters, or more then 3000 feet) - 6 inversions - 120 degrees banked turn - top speed of 102 km/h (63 mp/h) it has a trim which I didn't want to put in cause I hate those, but without it the last turn has red g's and couldn't fix that here's the download any comments (and tips) would be appreciated! Steffen: tnx! Dr. Gumbo: nothing is making your flyer less original!! zeke: sorry if I stole the name! I think the crow is the most evil bird of all the birds! and that fits a vekoma here's another pic. but i'm really struggling to get some parts smooth so I don't know if it goes up today the launch and some more parts of the ride -
[NL] Hydroplane
AlmereStars replied to angryemobeaver's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I liked it: + nice pace at some points + good lay-out + doesn't go high, and low to the ground is always good! + custom supports - why isn't the launch straight? - few bumps before going into a turn (the last turn before the first brakes is the worst) - the zig/zag thingy over the launch track would hurt like crazy overall nice lay-out with nice speed. but it could have been build better. try using ctrl+g or something. You could see that Desert Race is the coaster that inspired you -

Heey all, I'm making a new rollercoaster in NL. it will be a vekoma flyer, but then with a launch instead of a lift! (don't know if they exist?) for now I have the logo and 1 element if you want I can make an pov video when its done the logo 1 of the elements
