  1. I completly agree, but the band still has the album on their website. Back on topic, I personally like their old style better, but maybe this will grow on me.
  2. Oh, it will be. Weekdays in May, every ride is a walk-on. May isn't technically the "summer", though, it's still the spring, so you're probably right. Dang. I'm going opening weekend. What does everyone think the crowds will be like then?
  3. I'm pretty sure that SFNE's is a Break Dance 4.
  4. You have to realize that those are the kinds of lines the Mean Streak would have opening year. Back on topic, It is looking like the weather won't exactly be co-operating on opening day. Luckily, I'm going for the weekend, so maybe sunday will have nice weather. EDIT: I just checked again, and opening day is set to be nice and sunny. Couldchange between now and then though. Also, there is a new construction gallery update here; http://maverick.cedarpoint.com/latest/gallery/
  5. The train goes kinda slow through the first four inversions (but the vertical loop less so), definatly slow enough for some hangtime. Thanks to the MCBR being set to not slow the trains down at all though, it flys through the corkscrews. UPDATE: Here is a teaser for the recent construction at the park Could the filename provide a hint to the mystery?
  6. This park is in china.
  7. Which tunnel are you talking about, the one on the lift hill is definatly staying, but if you are talking about the one on the MCBR, you're right, it does look kinda out of place. How would you feel if I changed to a bridge type structure, or elevated railway structure? EDIT: Also, does anyone know where I can find some good custom scenary path lights for the retro area? I've looked all over the Atari fourms, and I can't find anything fitting.
  8. It's the dive loop piece from Wild! with a straight track piece and and On Ride Photo cameras, then another dive loop piece. Or, if you are talking about the overbank into the MCBR, that is just a normal overbanked turn piece.
  9. We have one at SFNE, it isn't that thrilling, but it's a fun ride. I don't have any pictures, but here is the link to it's page on the park website; http://www.sixflags.com/newEngland/rides/Rodeo.aspx
  10. Where did you put the custom scenary?
  11. The first word is too long for the word "rocket", and doesn't the park already have a rocket coaster?
  12. Plain greyish/beige-ish T shirt, and dark blue shorts.
  13. Over the past few days, I have been working on a brand new themed area for you, and I'm now almost done with it, including the planned floorless coaster that you heard about a week or two ago. Welcome to Action City! Home of the biggest and best flat rides in the park, like this Huss Giant Frisbee "Stinger"... And this Huss Jump2, Fear Factor. As well as the fierce B&M floorless, X Rail. Which is themed to a rapid transit train... ...Gone horribly wrong. A bit cheesy and cliche, I know, but it makes up for it in ride expierence. The first half, showing off 4 inversions (Loop, Cobra Roll, and Inverting Horseshoe Turn) as the green train* flys through the loop. The red train* snakes through the last two inversions, a set of interlocking corkscrews. The finale consists of tight turns and powerfull bunny hops. The blue train* negotiates the final bunny hill. * = I don't really have godlike powers or use an RCT3 hacking program, I just changed the train's colors for different shots (Sorry if the small text annoyed anyone).
  14. It's the world's biggest floorless coaster.
  15. Crush 40 and Julien K. I also really like Zebrahead and Axel Rudi Pell, but I don't listen to them enough that I would actually say that they are some of my favorites. Usually though, I just listen to random stuff on youtube, and my musical tastes generally flip flop between various heavier genres of rock.
  16. Here is the POV, I originally planned to have it later today, but Windows Movie Maker took alot shorter then I expected to process it, so here it is now. The song is "His World" by Zebrahead, available on the CD "Sonic the Hedgehog Vocal Traxx: Several Wills", which unfortunatly is only available as a japanese import, so it is pretty expensive. Sorry for the low qaulity, I wanted a much better quality video, but it was huge (over 40 megs) so I slimmed it down to just 10 to speed up the uploading, but if you really want the better version, I will consider uploading it. Also, I am sorry for the unrealistic second launch, it was the only way I could get it work, I tried using a second station before the second launch and the launch section pieces, but that didn't work with peeps, so I had to change it. Anyway, enjoy! Screamliner Full Video (Release Version).wmv WARNING: The song contains a minor profanity near the beginning
  17. I didn't really count, but it took atleast an hour or two. Also, a B&M floorless or sit down is in planning, and so is more flat rides. Also, later today, look forward to a full POV video of Screamliner!
  18. I've been sick for the past week, so I haven't been very motivated, but in the past day or two, I have been feeling slightly better, and I got around to working on the park again. Just some minor updates so far, just things like... Screamliner getting custom supports! New supports on the drop and immelmann. New supports on the entire ride. Flyin' Eagle's newly built station building. The Retro area's entrance through the eyes of a peep. Soon, this area will be getting a slight make-over with custom scenary, such as themed custom lighting.
  19. Even if they were, they wouldn't show something like that until after the ride opens, maybe even later (Tatsu was built between 2005 and 2006, the construction special wasn't aired until January 07 if I rember correctly).
  20. I can't either. I didn't think I was going to be able to go for my birthday like I wanted because my dog a litter of pups, and we can't leave them at home for that long, but I'm gonna be there for Starlight admission on the 12th and all day on the 13th with my dad, I'm also getting to fly for the first time. On topic, I'm also annoyed that we arn't getting an update about it testing, it sucks to only have camera phone videos available.
  21. Did they ever actually change the name to Knott's Great America? The website still has just "Great America" all over it. On topic, although I have never been to either park, coaster wise atleast Knott's Berry Farm certainly looks like the better of the two, as bad as Silver Bullet is from what I've heard, it looks better then Top Gun, and Ghost Rider is probably better then Grizzly, plus Knott's is getting the kinda cool looking Sierra Sidewinder, Montezooma's Revenge is probably a very good coaster and Xcellerator looks better then everything Great America has, and better then any of the accelerators in the US except maybe Storm Runner. Atmosphere and other rides wise, I would really have to actually visit the parks to decide I think.
  22. Talk about stereotyping an entire industry. Six Flags has had complaints about poor staff, but that doesn't mean all of SF and CF employees are drugged up coke fiends. I do understand that not all of their employees are careless and drugged up, but it's not like either of us can make a very accurate guess of just how many of the employees are the careless ones and how many are the carefull, good workers, espiecally since even though their may be drug surveys, it's obvious that almost anyone who is asked if they do drugs and knows that it is illegal will say no, even if they do. Also, one careless ride-op is one too many.
  23. Ill Be sure to have a pair of the THINNEST flipflops i can find when i do and just throw them on before i get in line, thats if they care about the rule. kissorkill2night, if you rode Storm Runner, you should be okay, Maverick uses essentialy the same seat/restraint system as Storm Runner, except with the seats tilted further back to accomadate riders above 48" instead of just above 54" riders.
  24. OMG If I was a large person and I read that I would not go to Cedar Point. I mean if large people experience difficulties trying to get on a ride would I really want to go to a park at the risk of being humiliated because I have a hard time getting in and off a ride? Plus, the risk of my size causing a trouble with the restraint. I think I would die. Thanks for posting! Sometimes I am glad I am skinny. ~Matthew Only really stupid or careless ride ops would let you ride if you didn't fit, like the idiots at SFNE that cuased the accident on S:ROS. Thing is, Six Flags and Cedar Fair both hire teenaged, careless, probably doing drugs ride ops, so it's really only Disney, Busch, Universal kind of places that have better standards for hiring where you're safe, but even then, accidents do happen. Also, if you do end up at CP and don't fit on the newer coasters, Magnum and Gemini don't have the "Exceptional Size" warning on the website, and supposedly they are the best two rides there anyway.
  25. Why does everyone seem to have had there minds blank halfway through my sentence? Yes Cedar Point does say that men over 6'2" may not be able to ride, but they do not intend that to be absolute. Below is the entire article on it from their website; "All passenger restraint systems, including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seatbelts, must be positioned, fastened and tightened to allow guests to ride. Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, males who exceed 6'2", and those who exceed 225 pounds, have a 40" waistline or 52" chest or females who exceed 200 pounds or wear size 18 or larger. Each person has different body proportions, so it is impossible to determine exact size and weight. Our larger guests may experience difficulty on Blue Streak, Chaos, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, Mantis, Maverick, maXair, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Mine Ride, Power Tower, Raptor, Skyhawk,Wave Swinger, Wicked Twister and Top Thrill Dragster. Maximum recommended weight limits are posted on Camp Snoopy rides, Chaos, Monster, Scrambler, Super Himalaya, Troika, Wave Swinger, RipCord and most Soak City attractions. You may enter the ride via the exit to ensure the restraints function properly prior to waiting in line. We have test seats at Maverick, maXair, Millennium Force, Raptor, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister." From http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/visit/tips.cfm#size. Take it for what you want, but remember that even if you are over 6'2", that doesn't mean that you cannot ride, just that you're size MIGHT cause trouble with the restraints.
