Hi everyone, Went to Valkenswaard last saturday to see the Pre prologue of the famous Paris - dakar rally which this year ,or actually next year cause it will be held in january, will due to the threat of terror be organised in Argentina!!!! All of the dutch and I think all of the Belgian competitors were present. The rally has three different disciplines - Motorbikes - Cars and trucks. The trucks are the most impressive of the three. The track is in Valkenswaard (close to Toverland) is partial tarmac and partial dirt track and of course we were at the dirt track given the fact that is the place were normally most of the action takes place. On to the Pics. Favorite truck picture. Thanks for reading. This truck used to be red. Once again the army saves the day... well it took an hour but they did it. He was a bit too fast and flipped over. 10 gold stars for the one who guessed it right. Trivia... What did just happen with this truck. The last corner of the track. At this point the trucks came close by so I could get a few awesome shots. OMG two truck shot. Hans Stacey won today. Those trucks are huge. Next up Trucks. It's a real classic. Through the hairpin. Next up were the cars. There were two quads but the other one fell off in the first corner and broke his shoulder. Could take some better pictures from this side. You can get really close to the track. First race of the day. Some modern trucks. Team De Rooij 1985 truck. First we did a pitwalk. We made it.

^ What!! There must be a coaster on the west coast trip that comes close to one of those rides. Or is it true that there aren't any good coaster in California ?

Just to stay in the Pearl jam mood. In Holland this is an instant classic it happened on a big festival in The Netherlands (Pinkpop 1992). I've never seen such a stage dive ever again.

The Strokes - Juicebox

^ Instead of a positive change things are getting worse. It really seams that the FIA is helping Felipe Massa to his first title. He was involved in two crashed and both times the blame was on him but he only got one drive through penalty. They even gave Bourdais a 25 second penalty after the race so Massa took two points instead of one. All these problems could be fixed if they re-introduce the gravel pits. When there is gravel the drivers will be more careful and brake earlier. Well if anyone is still interested in the video of all these incidents..... Official FIA footage I'm very disappointed in F1 right now but I don't quit watching it.
