Hip-Hop and word to your mother,yo!

The Mindbender at the West Edmonton Mall used to dominate Top 10 lists ten to fifteen years ago, and now you bearly hear anything about it. The same is true for many of the Arrow Megaloopers.

At least that Medusa doesn't have a wild west theme. The Medusa at SFGrAdv is in the frontier adventure area.

A powered coaster doesn't use gravity at all. The coaster cars actually uses a motor to propel it forward or backward. A coaster like Flight of Fear isn't a powered coaster because it relies on gravity after the launch.

Waterparks, anyone?
What Now replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The one and only time I was at a water park was SFHH (LA) back in 1997. I had a lot of fun despite the fact that I was barefoot for most of the day. I would like to go back, but I haven't felt like going by myself. That and how much is there to do for someone who can't swim? When I was at SFHH, I did the Family Raft Ride, one of the smaller combo slides (Jet Sterm?), the wave pool, and maybe something else. -
Hit any parks over this weekend?
What Now replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not the weekend, but I went to DLR on Thursday. Might do a TR with photos eventually. -

Major kudos to the videographer(s). There are some great shots in that movie. -
I don't remember seeing Beverly anywhere when I was in Italy a couple of years ago.

^ I've never waited more then 15min to ride SB, even the day I was at Knott's between X-mas and New Year's. While the line was 30min for GR and 1hr30 for Xcel, SB was only a 15 min wait. So is SB more forceless and boring then Talon? Personly I think they are both about the same. -
Unfortunately, the parks in So Cal get pretty busy in July especially the weekends.

I have to agree with the people who said DCA. Another great park that people rarely talk about is Bonfante Gardens. It is easily the prettiest park I've been to, even prettier then BGW. People tend to overlook this park because it doesn't have any extreme rides.

I'm not either of the Alveys, but I'll answer anyway: The first coaster I rode was Timberline Twister at Knott's. The first coaster I enjoyed a lot was Soap Box Racers, also at Knott's.

Hyper coasters Vs. Wooden
What Now replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm another person who likes both. Pheonix is to wood as Apollo's Chariot is to steel. Both have turn arounds that do nothing for the ride and both have lots of strong airtime, although they have different kinds of air. Apollo has the most floater air out of anything I've been on, while Pheonix has the most ejector air out of anything I've been on. -
What's the park(s) the you like, while every body else seems to love to hate it? I actually enjoyed SFA when I was there a couple of years ago. I'd even go as far as to say it's a nice park. It had nice theming for a SF park (in most parts). Roar and Wild One were the best maintained woodies out of all the SF parks I've been to. The best part was the short lines, though (I probably wouldn't of had nearly as good a time if their were crowds).
