What iconic performance does Ledger have to live up to? Nicholson's Joker was more of Nicholson acting like himself, certainly nothing iconic or even noteworthy. How he measures to Hamill will be the question. Matt

Check out this new ride from Mondial

That's just bizarre. Judging by the name, I can't imagine the levels of nausea that will result. Good times. Matt -
With the UK trip there was an initial refundable deposit but after that it was non-refundable. Personally, I think it'd be a bit unfair to hold a spot when you're not even sure you can go while there are those who wish to go but can't due to lack of space. Especially when it's your home area and you can hit all those parks on your own any time you want. Just my opinion, however. Matt

Theme Park Review T-shirts are HERE!!!
methylene replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I hate to bump this extremely dated thread but I was looking at the design of the TPR shirt as I am probably ordering one soon and noticed something funny: You have "Donkey's" instead of "Donkeys". Is the apostrophe there for a reason or is it a typo? It doesn't appear to be possessive of anything nor do you use the apostrophe in this forum title. Thanks, Matt -
Alton Towers Discussion Thread
methylene replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
UPDATE: Alton Towers has cancelled its Muslim day due to poor ticket sales. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006350410,00.html Matt -
Isn't Texas airfare wonderful? You can fly roundtrip from NY-LA cheaper than from Texas-LA or even Texas-NY! At least I can fly Southwest! /Wright amendment for the win Matt

The boards @ mouseplanet.com or disboards.com might be more beneficial as I'm sure there are billions more with the same question. Matt (Heading to WDW in Dec 2007, those boards have been a fountain of information!)

I don't know about that....I'm not exactly wishing to drive through Compton again (I did that drive several years ago). We're not really beach people. I enjoy the views but not so much spending time on one (unless it comes with white sand and clear water). We'll have our beach fill when we visit Santa Monica. On the other hand, any beach must be nicer than Galveston's. Matt

The second Saturday in March 2007 is the 10th, so it looks like we're okay. I'd be very upset if my wife or myself was squashed by a fat ACEr sitting on us. Matt

Isn't that usually on a Saturday? Matt

^ Good to hear. It looks like we'll be visiting Knott's on a Friday (Mar 16) now, and stay at least through lunch at Mrs. Knott's. That afternoon we plan to run by the Santa Monica Pier as well. Matt

Of course, judging from Robb's TR's from last year everything might be closed in mid-Marcch. Anywho, I think I've figured out a way to get a couple extra hours there. We're switching around hotels and staying in Anaheim the entire time now, I think, so we'd be able to hit Knott's in a morning at opening and stay through lunch or later. It's nice that everyone in Southern California is in school this week. Matt

Well, we're officially heading to California next March for about a week. We're spending 4.5 days at Disneyland and are thinking of using that .5 remaining on the fifth day (which would be Wednesday the 14th) to visit Knott's before heading to our next Hotel near Universal City. As best as I can see, Knott's closes at 6PM in March, although their website doesn't have hours posted for next year. We'd be able to get there as early as 3 PM, however we also would like to stop and eat at that famous Chicken restaurant first (or after, if it is open after park close). As we've never been to Knott's, we'd really like to credit whore the place out in the 3 or so hours we'll have there. Is it possible or am I trying to fit too much in to one day? Thanks, Matt
