Looks like you guys had a blast! Wish I could've been there. I'd be sitting off to the side for all the spin-n-pukes with you Divv. -

^ I like that we're starting rumors of Divv and Steve being in a relationship. This should definitely continue. -

I agree with Elissa! You 2 look very cute together! What a nice little man date you had. Awesome trip report! It sounds a lot like the CNE. Overcrowded, nothing great to ride, but still fun to check out for the atmosphere if you're with the right group. -

Yes to both of those parks! As well as Blackpool and what's left of Coney Island. -

Myrtle Beach is still a place I'd love to check out. I love the idea of boardwalks and need to get out and visit some boardwalk parks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well! -
Cruising with Theme Park Review 2008!
thecoasterkid replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My parents were on a Royal Caribbean cruise (Grandeur of the Seas?) a few weeks ago and sailed right past the Oasis. My Dad couldn't believe how MASSIVE it was! We've been on multiple cruises (I'm with Elissa on doing a TPR one!) so I trust his opinion on how amazing it looked. He took a zoom shot of the rock climbing wall...6 stories high! I've got a feeling that their next cruise will be on the Oasis. I love this update, had a great time looking through it again! -

Great update Divv! I think you guys should all come out to Toronto to check out the CNE this summer, we'd have a blast! Fudge 3 was here when it was on, but didn't have a chance to check it out. -
1. I'm totally in. Where do I sign up? 2. A printed newsletter (monthly or bi-monthly) that mails out to all members. Can feature highlights from the boards that people may miss. If it at all seems like a good idea to you, I'd be interested in making it happen. 3. Even with the current offering, I'd be more than willing to sign up. 4. As long as the costs remain reasonable and I feel like I'm getting enough use out of it, I don't see myself missing out on it. 5. I'm very glad you're thinking about doing this! I've always thought of joining ACE for some of the listed benefits, but am so not an ACEr.

Brit Crew 80's style! Great photos Divv! Although, after seeing Steve's rug I'm not sure this is so PG13. I think it may scare young viewers. -

I love Brit Crew updates! What I'd love even more though is if some of those Double Deckers were on their way to Canada right now! I'm telling Canadian border officials not to let Andrew back into the country unless his suitcase is full of Double Deckers in June! -

First and foremost, awesome TR Divv! I would have to say that you put up some of the best trip reports on the site! Maybe I'm biased because all of the pictures are of close friends and I get the vast majority of the inside jokes. But still, they're epic and I think most people would agree with me anyways! Second of all, I miss you all! I am DEMANDING that all of the Brit/Hooters Crew reunites in Orlando this year. As incentive I'm bringing along my girlfriend and I give all of you full permission to harass her as if she's been one of us all along. If someone were to give me money and a time-machine the first thing I would do is join you guys on this trip. The one thing that comes across in EVERY TR from TPR trips is how great a time all the participants have. Robb and Elissa, you 2 offer something truly incredible and unique. Can't wait to get on my next trip! -

You're wrong Mark, Iron Dragon is scary...scary how bad it is. Great postcards as always! -
Photo TR: Alton Towers Scarefest 2009
thecoasterkid replied to Divv3k's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Steve, this is exactly why I'm coming over in the new year. Would I ever lie about something being terrifying? Alien war will only be a behind the scenes look at the how the film was made, honest. Sounds like you all had a great weekend at Alton. It looks like they really put on quite the show for the mazes at halloween. Here's a tip for all TPR members, never...trust...Andrew. I seem to have a memory of him telling me "Oh come on, it doesn't spin THAT much!" Yeahhhhh, 10 minutes later and I was headed for the closest bathroom. On another note, great TR Divv! I love your reports, can't wait to be in one again! I'm putting a special request in for the entire Brit Crew to come to Toronto, it's much cheaper that way than me flying over there. Trust me. -
The Bryan and Adam Show Thread

Wait a minute? Since when did you 2 become someone who's arse I should kiss? I remember helping Adam pop his SLC cherry at Darien Lake...ohhhh, those were the days. Also, why is it always about Bryan? Why can't there be an All About Matt Damon day dammit?! -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

Really? OTSR's? Has America become that concerned about getting sued that they need OTSR's on this thing? If those transitions are too fast get ready for head banging like Maverick. I'll definitely give this a try at some point, but I won't be rushing out on opening day. I'll wait for the reviews on this one. -
Stratosphere's New 'Ride'
thecoasterkid replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm mixed on this thing. If the price is right, I'd do it. Would pay $50-$75 for it, but not much more than that. Honestly though, I don't think it's worth $100. It's a "controlled" fall, not a true "freefall". You're travelling down slower than the speed of gravity, that's the difference. You would be thrilled and scared, but wouldn't have as much of that true stomach in your throat feeling. That's what really sets SCAD Towers apart from anything else. It's just you, nothing at all holding you in place, dropping 150ft through the air. Biggest rush of my life and WELL worth the $25 I paid for it at the Dells.
