It's kinda like the "benefit now, pay later" routine... Younger people (under 30) need to develop resistance to germs and such. To do that, you need to be exposed to things, and get sick. Using non-permanent vaccines, antibacterial soaps, over-use of antibiotics, etc. protect you now, but won't protect you later when one of these simple bugs gets past these barriers, (or morphs simply into a new strain resistant to these barriers,) because your body won't know what to do with it. Dennis "won't use antibacterial soap, it's a consumer rip-off anyway!"

I do all my shopping on-line. I refuse to go into retailer this time of year. Heck, I hate retailers all year long, and rarely go to them. Granted, you can't get those "advertised black friday specials" on-line, but you can usually find BETTER deals for BETTER products shopping at non-traditional on-line outlets. Especially in electronics, which is all I give as gifts. Dennis "doesn't give underwear as a gift!"

Photo TR: Robb, Elissa, and Derek in Vegas!
DenDen replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Well, probably half of the chipendales are straight. They got jealousy issues though, and kill each other in high profile murder cases. So Elissa should have some luck finding a good-looking psychotic hunk there. -

Elissa, I hate to burst you bubble... When I lived in vegas, all the Aussie thunder would be at the gay bars after the show, usually at Gypsy, but now that there's a gay resort there, they probably go there. If you go to circus again, go to the west casino, and drop $20 in a $5 slot, one coin at a time, preferable on a red-white-blue, Moohla, or Peppers machine. The last day on the job there, I won $2300. Good show guys, have fun! -
I may actually go get one of these tomorrow as a gift for a non-gamer, that is, if they don't sell out in 5 minutes. I have a circuit city within walking distance.

They have the worst clip art, but thanks for the suggestion.

Laptops are made with video chips, not video cards. They aren't replacable. And that Celeron "M" processor is the pitts. Toshiba's high-end models are great, but their low-end models (such as this) are garbage for anything other than internet and work.

I miss Vegas so much.... sniff sniff... -
Hi gang, I'm looking for a "royalty free" stock clip art or image of a hamster. I have 10 CD's of clip art here, and not one of them has a cute hamster on it. CUTE and "royalty free" are the key words here, it's for my new site "HamsterCheese". Thanks in advance!

If ya haven't seen it yet... X-box 360 is crashing everywhere. http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EEFkZkkkyEHasmrPqu.php Also on our local news tonight, Stores are selling 360 at an astounding $590! Best buy is selling the first 30 @ each store at $299, then raising the price. Similar situations at other retailers like circuit city and compusa. Would you pay $600 for a video game? I never do business with retailers anyway, since they prey on the stupid.

Share Your Phone Display and Ringtone
DenDen replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Random, Random, Random
I cannot share my background image, cause this is a PG-13 website. My ringer is "I See Stars" by Robin Fox, the MP3, not the ringtone. -
I rode one at West View Park before it closed. I was very young, and remember not liking it because I was too small for the ride. http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/tempest.html

I actually saw the "It's a Wonderful Like" anime on TV a while back. Cute stuff.

I know, most people are shocked when they find out I'm active in my church. I'm the web minister of the church, and run all the on-line activities. It's a fun little church that I brag about a lot, it's not the "typical" stuffy church by any means.

I SO misread the title of this thread. I thought it was the "great bear weekend", a la "a bunch of drunk hairy men".

Merry X Mas- or I´m happy that this is not my neighbour
DenDen replied to Peis's topic in Random, Random, Random
^it wouldn't take that long. With multi-frame copy and paste, you could prolly do that entire video in about a couple hours. -
I want a divorce.

I've been itching to build a new computer lately, my little P4 2.4Ghz is starting to show it's age. So I like to do my homework before I actually go out and start shopping for parts. I mean "REALLY" do my homework... but anyway, in the midst of researching video cards, I found this.... http://firingsquad.com/hardware/ati_all_in_wonder_x1800_xl/page13.asp Call of Duty 2 is now being used as a benchmark for PC video cards. You may have already known this, I dunno, I thought I'd give you a heads-up on it. It's the first time I've seen this game used as a benchmark. Usually, you see the typicals... Quake, Unreal, Doom, etc... Very Cool. Now I'll have to buy COD2 with the new PC, just to check it out, and I'm not a gamer.

I'm crooked.

Merry X Mas- or I´m happy that this is not my neighbour
DenDen replied to Peis's topic in Random, Random, Random
The big question is.... Is this a fake video... or... was there REALLY some loser-ass computer geek that rigged his x-mas lites to do this? I'm hoping for the latter. -
I don't get them. I'd rather someone who REALLY needed it get it.
