Geeze, been so long since I've been in Random Random Random! Go Robb, Go!!!!! You can DO IIIIIIIIT! After losing my 80 pounds this year, and have kept it off, it's a totally different way of life. It's not what you eat, it's how you eat it! (Well, the only thing I had to eliminate was sugar, but after I got used to it, the rest was easy!)

The New and Improved Gravity Group Website
DenDen replied to raptor6's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Unfortunately, their host sucks, I could barely get anything to load without waiting 10 minutes. LOL Flash is so passe now. People need to get over it and just use it's most valuable asset: multi-platform compressed video! Hehehehe. -

King Kong looks like a heavily themed Supernova http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/supernova.html Though, this kinda isn't a new idea, remember the Stratosphere wanting a gorilla to climb the side of the tower and shake the cage? (While it was still under Bob Stupack's control, the nutcase he is! ) -
Thank Robb! Gives me a few more options to experiemnt with

Hi Alveys! I have another technical question for you. When you use Windows Media for your streaming videos, what encoding rates do you use? I'm starting a video magazine, and have been experimenting, but I seem to get a slightly lesser quality than you guys. I've been using some default stream settings such as WMV4LAN-694kbps-30FPS. Your secrets would be greatly appreciated! I generally post videos in 320x240, which is what looks like you guys do, or do you do the 160x120@200% trick? Thanks Dennis

girl dead in Bobbejaanland ( NOT REAL )
DenDen replied to zilliboy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I smell an ad for Six Flags. LOL FAKE! The gunshot sound is a standard sound-effect added to the video. I know what gun shots sound like, that ain't it. -
Cool and Fresh - Yes this is a coaster!
DenDen replied to Axman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You'd be amazed how many coasters use steel cables for support. Two right off the top of my head, Thunderbolt at Kennywood, and Manhattan Express in Las Vegas. And if you like to count it as a coaster, Superloops/Ring of Fire also uses cables. -

Hersheypark Announces Fahrenheit!
DenDen replied to Meteornotes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They just keep coming up with these wierd names. If I didn't see the pictures, I would think it was a SLC. Looks like a good ride though, I may be taking a trip to PA this year, just waiting on Kennywood's announcement before I make that decission. Lastly, (warning: I'm on my soapbox!) the way the "puzzle game" was played in the speculation thread left a sour taste in my mouth. HERCO should be ashamed at itself for creating "clicks". TPR does everything NOT to let this happen, and 95% of us are wonderful, funloving people. (OK, Kidtums is just damn adorable!) We are ALL enthusiasts here. Instead, HERCO "selects" a chosen few, (whether by luck, timing, or preference) to give them a "one up" on the issue, which also created arguements and personal attacks by the "not so mature". Sorry, but next time, if you want to give enthusiasts "one up" before the general public, send Robb an exclusive press release. (Soap box crushed) -
Geauga Lake Discussion Thread
DenDen replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I always felt the Geauga Lake was pretty ghetto, and hadn't been back since Six Flags took it over. I certainly won't miss it, since I never had plans to ever go back. You know most of the rides will be relocated, so we won't be missing much, except the location. Cedar Point and Kings Island are much better parks anyway, and still within easy driving distance. -
This has to be a hoax. Why? Do you think Hershey would hire someone who's only been in business online for 6 days? According to their site, they announced the Hershey gig on August 20, but the domain was only created on the 14th. The administrator isn't even on their employee list: Itickets in a Christian concert promoter. Brian Smith claims to be ... Dunno, just smells all fishy to me. As having my own little production company, I think it would look pretty sucky if I contracted someone to do my own website administration. I withheld all the personal info, but it is public record.
