  1. If we could switch that to "Super Duper Fun Awesome Riding Time Machine" the acronym would be SDFARTM yep, I'm kinda all about the farts today.
  2. I was joking. Would any of us have even heard of "Dog Fart Coaster" were it not for the name? There are much worse things than getting another amazing coaster.
  3. Seeing this for the first time made coffee squirt out my nose.
  4. That right there says it all. I could not be more pleased with what Cedar Fair has brought to our park. They've made all the right moves and have earned my trust and respect. (although naming the new coaster Ziz may ever so slightly diminish that last statement)
  5. My travel plans for next year have not included a return trip to SFMM; or being anywhere geographically close to California for that matter. The intention of my 2015 trip planning has been to exclusively focus on visiting parks, cities and countries that I've never before experienced. This announcement makes me feel that a return trip to the park next season is now essential. And this is probably the highest compliment that I can give to RMC and Six Flags. Good job!
  6. That's awesome because I did that; except it was a wedding and only 288 miles.
  7. I like this a lot. It fits nicely with, and greatly expands upon, my prediction several pages back. Of course I'd prefer that it was the park's first Intamin installation, but given CF's current B&M love affair I'll be happy either way. Really hope it happens.
  8. ^ That actually would be an interesting use of the available land. And the view from the highway would be spectacular. I'm not convinced they'd be willing to clear out that many trees though.
  9. Here I am at Hersheypark. My shirt says "Birth. Coasters. Death. Nothing Else Matters". Birth. Coasters. Death. Nothing Else Matters
  10. Thank you for posting that ajfelice. With this recent batch of coaster announcements it's something that has been on my mind (and driving my crazy) a lot lately. Reading it expressed so well, and also knowing that others feel the same way, makes me feel better.
  11. The rotor at Luna Park in Sydney is fantastic. I think I read somewhere that it's the oldest one in operation.
  12. Being required to leave my driver's license at the Flash Pass booth and then having to walk across the park and waiting in line to "borrow" it back every time I want a beer.
  13. Please don't use the forward facing camera on your phone to yank out nose hairs.
  14. Skid Melon. Oh please let it be called Skid Melon.
  15. I am so envious of this incredibly extensive trip you've undertaken and enjoying the updates along the way. Your writing style and your candor make for a good read each time.
  16. I did 43 in 2010. That was huge for me. I can usually only pull off about 26 per year.
  17. Caterwaul by ..And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead
  18. being stung by a scorpion last month has altered my formerly positive outlook on pool noodles.
  19. The last couple pages of this thread are hilarious (in a hot and bothered nerd kinda way).
  20. ok, just checking. I suppose I wasn't clear when I said "reprofile". I don't think any of the coasters I listed could be saved with re-tracking.
  21. ^ You don't think an RMC makeover would make Mean Streak amazing?
  22. I'd love a new woodie at CW too. However, I think if Cedar Fair were to embrace the exciting new world of wood it would likely begin with several years spent reprofiling their current and somewhat dilapidated arsenal first. Mean Streak, Wild Beast, Minebuster, Ghostrider and Grizzly are all getting a little long in the tooth. (just typing the word "Grizzly" made my spine flex)
  23. I'd like to officially register my 2016 prediction: Launched Terrain Coaster The reasons for this are: 1) pre-existing terrain (pond, hills, trees, etc.) 2) plenty of room and opportunity to interact with Vortex 3) Maverick 4) I really, really, really want a proper launched coaster at CW
  24. I've made the 9 hour (one way) drive from Toronto to SFGadv on three separate occasions (along with several much longer drives to Texas, California, etc) The experiences along the way coupled with the slow building anticipation of catching that first glimpse of the coaster skyline never gets old for me. Yes, it's worth it.
