If its not for the water park addition in 2016, it just makes the decision to remove Thunder Road even more stupid given the fact that they could have put this attraction anywhere else in the park. I think the number of years is to be debated. From what I gather, everything is being done in stages with the first stage being what we have seen already. Thus being the removal of TR and the addition of .................... is the start of the second phase. We only know numbers from what was presented factually in the info I posted. Which would show all the funds were removed. What is more than 50 million? 51 million?? 58 million?? And again, why are people so stark sure 2016 is for the water park. Anyone willing to make a bet...its not??? -

Bumper cars, mini-golf, action fx theater, and possibly white water falls are all gone after this year. You're naming too many things. Take a break...sit on this log and wait for the big splash. And why is everyone thinking water park expansion? Ok keep thinking that...it will make the element of surprise that more enjoyable! And that 50 million...that was really 40 something million has been spent on the front gate, harmony hall, fury 325, other food venues and the waterslides...the ones already there. What? I'm fairly certain I remember you specifically stating/hinting at a major waterpark expansion for 2016 months back. And yes, 2016 is included in the $50 million investment between 2014-2016, as it was stated back when the investment was announced in 2013. On here? I cant recall and I went through all my post and It seems I never mention anything about 2016... Now, I posted this a week or so ago... Link Basically Im not sure where we got the 3 year thing from as it is conflicting with what was presented to the board. I would want to go with the numbers the board had presented to them since it seems fairly accurate. -

Man...these lines are overwhelming. Its amazing how a coaster so old can still remain relevant... The line for goliath started just at the stairs... Would have been just in the station if they weren't assigning seats... Solid ride. Of course I'm spoiled by fury 325 but still, a great ride! Gotta love these crowds... Getting ready for fright fest ready??? Speaking of fright...think I'm passing this one up lol... I'm seeing a pattern here... Something new! A water park!! Well...its kinda bare but looks like fun for the kids. The only multi slide tower... Then you have this pool and family slide (I think its a family one...) Getting hungry...brb...

^^Hopefully I will give you plenty to see to make it feel like you were here with me lol. ^thanks! Now where were we...oh yes, riding coasters. What is that I see... Not yet. The park received daredevil dive since my last visit. What a cute little train...well, car. It was ok...no mystery mine, but a nice family coaster. I guess six flags anticipated huge crowds for its new " coaster" since they set up a queue all the way up the hill to the entrance of gotham city... Anyway...I'm here for backwards batman! Man...these lines... I'm a little nervous about doing this bat-wards hahaha... Pretty intense but not too bad... The other flat ride the park got... One of the best themed wave swinger... Brb...gotta go ride a legend...

Guess what!!! Real time-ish is back!!! Today I'm at six flags over georgia. I haven't been here in forever. I think I was last here the year after goliath open so I'm excited! Speaking of... Looks like I'm pretty early. Give me good time to process my pass...hopefully. Yep...we're at a six?flags park lol... I'm in! Let's have fun!!! First ride of the day... Just like I remember it! Let's head over to cyclone...but first... I can get use to this. But I'm sure its gonna change... Oh cyclone...I can tell the difference between the topper track and good ole cyclone. If I wasn't woke before, I am now lol! Brb when the park officially opens! And picture request just let me know!!

Hey guys...I have a season pass question. Im looking at getting the gold pass but i'm stuck on if I should get the membership pass (monthly) or the one time pay pass. The monthly option seems good being that it would be spread out but I’m thinking…normally around the end of the year six flags generally has a fire sale and sell the gold passes for like 50-60 dollars. So…if I am on the membership pay monthly for a year, am I correct and thinking I would not be able to take advantage of that offer? Any help, suggestions are welcome!

Yeah...Universal is freaking out. They are taking Kong and pandora back to the drawing board after seeing the video of justice league . Why do people feel the need to always compare rides/attractions to other ones? Especially when pound for pound the ride they are comparing it to are much better and advanced??? Now, this attraction looks great! I would like to see similar attractions at other six flags parks. I wonder if they can do it with anything other than the dc comic characters? -

1) Harmony hall has some good selections. I always get the cut to order brisket sandwich. Chickies and Pete has good cheese steaks. Wings has some nice chicken wings. I hear the pizza is pretty good as well. 2) Remember, its a holiday weekend. I have been going on fridays this year and the line for fury 325 never ran over 20 minutes and at night it is virtually a walk on. But again...its a holiday weekend. 3) I would ride nighthawk first thing as I get there and everything else should be a breeze. Also don't miss the flyers and the Peanuts Pirates. The water park should be open so I would get there as soon as it opens if you are into water parks. -

We really don't know how much they have left or if it was a true 50 million. For instance, according to the below quote, there will be no funds remaining and its not saying the money cedar fair would be investing would be part of a 3 year plan for the total amount... Link The park also got a grant from the surrounding cities and counties. This is what they asked from one city/county... Link Now, that was just one city/county in the charlotte area. Who knows what type of grant money they received from York/Rockhill. So...we really don't know how much they have left of anything since they used others money to fund the recent additions as well as their own. If I were a betting man, I would say they have more money then we think lol. -
Wet n' Wild Orlando Question

1) That's a stretch doing both parks on the same day. You can't do half days at each on two consecutive days. If you get there at opening, you would be done by noon at both parks if you are going from slide to slide. 2) Check the prices of the I-trolley. It has the same stops as the buses but they seemed to come more frequently. 3) Its still a wed but its later in the evening so it could be crowded. Do you feel the need to re-ride the slides? If not, I wouldn't invest in the additional fee -

The great thing about it is a lot of existing slides can have a section or two removed and add a section with the translucent r1ngs since it requires no electricity to make it look like lights! -

I don't think they both applied for new coasters in 2014 and 2015. I think, from what I read, cedar fair was looking at both parks to see which park it would develop more into a destination park. Carowinds won that battle probably due to its good relations to city and county in both north and south Carolina. In return, carowinds got the tax incentive money for building fury which caused some locals to say " tax money paid for fury 325". The pitch was more people would visit which means more people revenue for the city. At carowinds media days, its swamped with politicians and tourism affiliates from both states. It also seems every one of them has somethingvto say which makes it longer lol. Would fury 325 had been built without the tax money...yep but cedar fair knew carowinds relationship is great. Will kings dominion be developed, yep but not at the rate of carowinds because not on are they using cedar fair money, they are using tax money from north and south Carolina! -

See...now I was informed, by park personnel, that its the parks themselves that determine what they get. Not cedar fair as a whole. I was advised its not a list sent up to cedar fair stating what they want and cedar fair hands out additions like chtisgmas morning. I think there should be an interview to see how things are determined with some ceo's of parks lol... -

Well...I didn't want to get into a long technical post covering every aspect of what determines the parks budget. I would lump ROI into prev year's profits.
