My most heartfelt condolences go out to the two of you. RatTums was magnificent, as is his grieving family. He could not have wanted for a more loving, caring home. One of my female rats is due to give birth within the next 3 to 4 days, and with your permission Robb and Elissa, as a living memorial, I'd like to name one of the boys "Indiana RatTums". I'll post pics of him as he grows if you'd like. I know this loss is huge for you, and if you'd rather I didn't name one of our babies after him I'll totally understand.

I stopped and filled up our van this morning at $2.79. This afternoon when I picked my kids up from school the same station had it at $3.19. There are at least a couple of stations in South Bend that are at $3.49. Of an equal or even greater concern to many of us in the north is the expected huge rise in the cost of heating oil for this winter. It's going to be scary.

Spot, one of our male rats. The female rats in their condo. Ruby, our first rescue. RIP Yogi (the 4th sister) along with Serenity and Serendipity. Serendipity, Serenity and BooBoo (the one closet to the blue igloo). 3 of the 4 sisters as babies. RIP BooBoo.
