  1. And to think that all that oddness was happening within 40 miles of you ChrisZer0!
  2. I voted for the Abyssinian. They're cool. I worked for the head of the drama department at the college I went to and he kept Abyssinians and would occasionally let them in the house. It was too funny!
  3. My thoughts on the final 12: Anthony Fedorov - He's ok, but too much like Clay Aiken I think. I think he'll last a few weeks, but I don't think he's Top 3 material and probably not top 5. Anwar Robinson - He's excellent. I think he's absolutely Top 3 material and has a very good chance to win it all. Bo Bice - I really like him and I think he's very, very good. I think that he's possibly Top 3 material and definently Top 5. I'd really like to see him win because he's so different from past winners, but I just don't know that he'll appeal enough to the bigger voting demographics to win. Carrie Underwood - I also really like her. I think she is Top 3 material and has a very realistic chance of winning it all because I think she has excellent crossover appeal from all of the voting demographics. Constantine Maroulis - I really haven't found any sort of connection with him and I don't think he's even in the top half of the guys side. I think at most he'll last 3 to 4 weeks. Jessica Sierra - I wasn't real thrilled with her in the beginning, but I'm starting to change my mind. I think she has the potential to be one of those contestants that gets better every week and if she does I think she could be Top 5, but I don't think she'll win. Lindsey Cardinale - I've like her from the beginning (I love husky-voiced female artists). I'm not sure that she'll be steady enough, week in and week out, throughout the entire competition, so I think she has a 50-50 chance of making the Top 5, but I don't think she can win it, but I'd be happy if she did. Mario Vazquez - He's another one I haven't been able to form a connection with. I think he has a lot of talent and is probably in the top half of the guys side. He's got a chance at the Top 5 and maybe even a very outside chance of winning, but my feeling is that he won't. Mikalah Gordon - For some reason, she just really irritates me. I think she's ok, but she doesn't seem to be improving nearly as much as some of the other contestants. I think that if she has another performance like the one on tuesday's (3/8/05) show, she'll be gone within the first 3 weeks, but if she can pick it up, she could last a while. Nadia Turner - I think she has good potential and could make the Top 5 unless she gets caught up in one of those weird voting weeks (like last year when Jennifer Hudson, LaToya London and Fantasia Barrino were the bottom 3 one week). Scott Savol - I just don't like this guy and I don't know why really. I think he has talent, but, even though it's not right, I think his look will eventually be too big a hurdle to overcome because I don't think he'll appeal enough to the people who vote the most. Obviously Ruben Studdard showed that a big man can win it all, but Ruben has that elusive "thing" that appeals to so many different people and Scott just doesn't have it IMO. Vonzell Solomon - She's definently got talent and a certain amount of charisma, but I think she could be another one of those people that gets caught up in one of the weird voting weeks and could possibly be gone earlier than expected. My personal Top 3 are Anwar, Carrie and Bo, with Lindsey and Jessica rounding out my Top 5.
  4. Happy Birthday davidmorton and unkadug!
  5. American Idol. The girls are not doing a good job so far tonight.
  6. www.coastersims.com www.eastcoastcoasters.com americacoasters.com (you have to buy a premium membership to get most of the videos, but they have recently started making some of them available for free) www.roller-coaster.com.au www.wimmerl.com (this site is in german, so if you don't speak the language and you want to get an idea of the descriptions you can go to a language translator site like www.freetranslation.com) www.whootah.com www.remainseated.com www.eastcoaster.com xtremecoasters.com www.coasterforce.com www.sfgamworld.com www.turbolaaf.nl (this site is in dutch, but you can use the same language translator website that I listed above to see what their saying. also you'll have to download an WinRar archive manager to open the files. you can get a demo version of one of these at www.rarlab.com, but the demo is only good for 40 days) www.onride.de (this is also a german site, but they have an english language link you can click that will change the title headings into english, but you may still need to use the language translator site to get a better understanding of what the site is saying and they also have a limit of how many megs of downloads you can do a month) www.jonathan-hawkins.net I hope this helps and I think I might give you a run for your money as far as being the biggest coaster video fan ever. :cooldude:
  7. Just finished having hobo sandwiches for supper.
  8. The first coaster I remember riding was Big Bend at SFOT, but I don't remember what year it was. It was kinda cool seeing that Robb has also ridden it because it's been gone for so many years I didn't think anybody would have even heard of it.
  9. Happy Birthday Jeezus Juice!
  10. Thanks for the help Robb! I knew that the cedar shavings were a bad thing (and I think pine shavings are the same way). Every time I'm in a store that sells pet supplies and I see the cedar shavings I just kinda shake my head. But I suppose that as long as uneducated/uncaring small animal owners will buy whatever is good for them, the poor little critters will continue to suffer. :crying:
  11. yeah I've been watching since season 2. My favorite female contestant this year is Carrie Underwood and my favorite make contestant is Bo Bice.
  12. I'm a Christian whose been burned by the church (and doesn't go any more), and who struggles daily in a myriad of ways, but have been brought through enough things in my life to know that God is real, that He loves me and that my greatest desire still is to be the man He wants me to be and stand before Him on Judgment Day and hear Him tell me "Well Done, good and faithful servant, with you I am well pleased".
  13. Hey Elissa, what kind of bedding do you use for RatTums? both of my daughters are going to be getting gerbils in a couple of months and I'm gonna get a couple of rats as soon as I can get my wife convinced that they're cool. Thanks for your help.
  14. it's really easy to tell that it's a labor of love. you've been running a website for several years now , providing high quality, completely entertaining and informative coaster and theme park coverage made complete with your incredible videos. And you've chosen to benefit and bless all of us by providing so much wonderful content at no cost to us through the downloads and other info provided by your website. It's so very obvious that this is the fruition of a lifetime labor of love for coasters and theme parks. I want to thank you both for all your dedication and efforts and let you know that I'm looking forward to all of your excellent work that is still yet to come!
  15. Katamari Damacy is a game where you roll around a little sticky ball and pick up everything that you can starting with thumbtacks and matchsticks and eventually working your way up to ferris wheels, baseball stadiums and skyscrapers. I know it sounds kinda odd and maybe even boring to those who haven't tried it, but once you give it a try you'll forever be addicted to it. It's a game that people of all ages will like. I'm 41, my wife is 36, and my daughters are 16 and 12 and we're all addicted to it. It's also got an excellent and diverse soundtrack. As for Taiko No Tatusijin, I've never played it, but I think I remember from one of Robb's posts that it's the Japanese version of Taiko Drummaster. It's a rhythm game that's played with a special drum controller and drumsticks that come packaged with the game. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about this one Robb.
  16. Happy Birthday Canobie Fan And Josh!!
  17. Happy Birthday Wildcatjoe31!
  18. Hey Robb, Have you ever heard of a group called "Da Vinci's Notebook"? Their songs have some of the funniest and warped lyrics that I've ever heard. One of their songs is titled "Kingdom In The Sky" and I think you could do a teriffic video to the lyrics with some Walt Disney World footage. You can hear a clip of the song at http://www.davincisnotebook.com/sounds.asp
  19. Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice!
  20. Yep, that's the place. I used to stand outside the theater giving the spiel to get people in line, then I'd go in and emcee the start of the show. You know, I guess most people prefer the bigger and badder coasters (and other attractions) of today, but, for me at least, it's such a shame that some really cool rides (like Wacky Box) and theming (like the lake) are sacrificed for "progress". It's really nice that occasionally a great site like yours can provide a link to the past for the younger generations. Keep up the Great Work!
  21. I worked Wacky Box during the summer of 1981. I haven't been back to Knott's in over 20 years, but I was really kind of brokenhearted when I heard that they taken out Wacky Box. That summer provided some of the best memories of my life. I also worked that little theater in Fiesta Village. I can't remember the name of the theater, but it had a 180 degree screen (kinda like an early version of IMAX).
