  5. I don't want to spoil it completely, so all I'll say is that you probably won't be expecting 2 of the 3 people that end up in the bottom 3 tonight, and you'll most likely be surprised at who does go home. :annoyed:

  8. Just got an email from a news channel that Pope John Paul II has died. The Vatican confirmed it within the last hour. I'm not Catholic, and I don't agree with some of the Catholic doctrine, but I must say that I greatly admire the Pope for many reasons, the biggest being that he was such a wonderful humanitarian and that unlike many "religious" leaders, he always seemed to live the life. May his soul rest well with God.
  9. Actually, with the exception of 3 or 4 counties, all of Indiana ignores the time change. But, for the umpteenth time, there's a bill in the state legislature trying to put the entire state on daylight savings time. They're also trying to decide, if the change is made, whether we would remain in the eastern time zone or if we would change to the central time zone. It's kind of crazy living in northern Indiana, because I live within 5 miles of the Michigan state line, and half the year we're on the same time as they are and then we're an hour behind them for the other half of the year.
  10. Happy Birthday c0sterfreek and Freefallin!
  11. Happy Belated Birthday DenDen and rabid disney!
  12. Yeah, and probably at least 1 made for tv movie. The fight is now taking a new focus. The husband and Terri's family are now squibbling over what to do with her remains. The parents want her buried, intact, in Florida and the husband wants to cremate her and inter the ashes in his family plot in Pennsylvania. It's just so sad and ridiculous.
  13. Happy Birthday CrashMender and sfgadvfreak!
  14. Happy Belated Birthday SLUSHIE!
  15. I totally agree, but what sucks even worse is it's not gonna ever get any better. In many segments of today's society there is an acceleration in the disregard for the sanctity of human (and any other living creature) life. Although I think that some music and other entertainment can add fuel to the fire of an individual that is already full of hate and anger and just looking for something to destroy, I think that the majority of the fault in these cases belongs to the individual who perpetrated the act. I mean there can be contributing factors, but, at some point, before an individual acts on these impulses, they have to make a concious decision to ignore their innate sense of right and wrong.
