  1. If it ends up being as fun as White Lightning is, that's a win for me.
  2. There is also a rumor that they could get a justice league, 4d free spin, RMC, flat ride package, or DC super friends. Don't forget an Aqua Trax.
  3. Too bad that Blue Streak is down to three cars. The airtime in the back row of the four-car train going over the drops was unreal.
  4. The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Universal has been hit with a lawsuit over CityWalk's brand new Toothsome Chocolate Emporium restaurant, which replaced NBA City. Click for the entire article
  5. No one knows you around here. No one knows whether you're better at RCT2 or RCT3. Show us. You decide, and start a new thread when you've developed the park enough to be presentable.
  6. While it's certainly true that revenue is going to Cedar Fair as a company, I highly doubt that Cedar Fair is deliberately pulling large sums of money from certain parks to invest in others. The parks themselves are individuals even though they have a strong corporate identity. Every market has different needs, and it's up to each park to figure out how to meet those needs under the management of the entity that ties them all together. Also, it's not like Canada's Wonderland is slipping by any standard - its attendance grew between 2014 and 2015 according to the TEA and AECOM, and it's still Cedar Fair's second-best performing park behind Knott's Berry Farm. That's saying a lot considering that Canada's Wonderland operates seasonally. It's also just oh-so-slightly ahead of Cedar Point too!
  7. What's so bad about a Planet Snoopy expansion?
  8. Contrary to popular belief, a park doesn't have to install a gigantic new mind-blowing attraction every year to continue to grow.
  9. On older examples, such as Wild Eagle, the position of the vest locks in place upon dispatch, so if they're tight when you leave the station chances are you will barely be able to move your own body let alone breathe deeply during the ride (I certainly couldn't). This can be helped by holding the vest portion forward a little bit until dispatch. The reason why they're not on this ride, Incredible Hulk or Rougarou is, from my understanding, that a four-across "new" B&M train is slightly wider than an "old" train.
  10. Sure, yet another ride that has to wait for parts from Europe, right? In all seriousness, where would Knoebels put it? I could only see them installing it in place of Wipeout, there just aren't many spots for big ride pads that I know of that wouldn't require a bunch of trees to be ripped out of the ground.
  11. While the lower-than-typical height restriction certainly makes it accessible to older children and younger teenagers, twisty turns, the zero-G roll and a 60-mph launch don't really scream "family coaster" to me. Valid argument for sure, but I'm not convinced.
  12. I don't, and will never consider any roller coaster with (an) inversion(s) to be a family coaster. The intimidation factor just shoots up.
  13. THE INTAMIN CABLE STRIKES AGAIN.
  14. I like going to water parks not mainly for the slides (which are basically equivalent to the coasters at an amusement park), but for the big play structures. Being a small child inside, there's just cool stuff for me to discover and play with around every corner.
  15. I'm pretty sure that the "Mega Swing" 360-degree frisbee is a Zamperla Discovery Revolution.
  16. It took me exactly four looks to realize that the inverted coaster ISN'T a giant inverted boomerang layout. It looks to be inspired by...Odyssey?
  17. A lot of the newer Vekoma styles have a square lift hill then spined track with outside rails similar to premier. Example: http://rcdb.com/10347.htm#p=45060
  18. Basically, it does a space shot up and bounces / levels out near the center of the tower, then it moves up to the top of the tower, does one complete seat rotation, then finally turbo drops down and bounces before returning to ground.
  19. Y'know, thinking about it, I feel like these would have been better suited scattered throughout the park. The tall one near Kissing Tower and Flying Falcon, the middle one out in Midway America and the smallest one in Founder's Way.
  20. Finally, this gets debunked. Thank goodness.
  21. Hersheypark has sent us a press release about the latest addition to their lineup, Hershey Triple Tower, opening in 2017! Here's one of the images from the site: Three S&S towers: 80 ft Double Shot with 12 seats 131 ft Double Shot with 16 seats 189 ft Combo Tower with 20 rotating seats All three of these are straight from S&S' catalog, no surprises here.
  22. Eh, the sound effects are a little cheesy and will probably get annoying after watching the ride for a while (like when you're waiting for your party), but the lighting is top-notch. I kind of worry about the strobe effect inside the tunnel though...
  23. Darn it, it was my turn to turn another thread into the Knoebels Appreciation thread this time...
  24. I don't know - it's a NoLimits sim, but the hills look much more drawn-out than those of Prowler.
