  1. ^ Well, it is the tallest and fastest woodie.
  2. If by awesome, you mean jack hammer all over the place? Then yes, it's awesome. The year it opened, it was very good, in my opinion, but the last time I rode it about 3 years ago, it was meh.
  3. At the waterpark. I haven't been there yet, but from reading PTRs, the rides side has been empty. I could be wrong , though. I wonder how it's like on weekends, or how it will be like in July.
  4. ^ Yeah, good point. I was just looking at old construction pictures on CP's site, and one of them said that they filled all of the supports with sand to reduce noise, no wonder it's so quiet. I wonder what it would sound like without the sand.
  5. I haven't been there in about 3 years, I think I'm going to go back this summer. Great PTR!
  6. When's the deadline? I'll enter, but I probably won't win because I'm still a beginner at NL. I won't be able to start on my design, though, until Monday at the earliest, possibly Sunday, but not likely.
  7. Great PTR! Maverick's que line isn't that long. You have to admit that it does move very fast.
  8. Good to hear you had fun at GADV! I was supposed to go next week, but, because of a family medical emergency, it was canceled. Oh well, I'll get there eventually.
  9. ^ Sounds like someone just doesn't know how to brace themselves. I was fine when I rode it, my head didn't bang around at all. That airtime hill is not floater air, MF has floater air, on Maverick, you are literally pulled down in the hardest ejector air I have ever felt. But, hey, different people have different opinions, I guess.
  10. Wow, this is very surprising. I feel bad for the girl, hopefully she will be ok.
  11. could you point out were it was rough, cause I didn't had any rough spots.. Yeah, I didn't find it rough at all. The transitions were very quick and Maverick-esque, but not the slightest bit rough. Great job!!!
  12. ^ 5th "real", finished, and supported coaster. I mean, I've tried some practice coasters in the beginning, but they were nothing resembling an actual coaster, usually just a lift hill and the first drop, just getting a feel for NL. Yeah I decided to go with the GCI feel, to tell you the truth, I was planning a Renegade-inspired first drop, but that didn't go over too well.
  13. The Octopus rides, and most flat rides hat spin a lot. I can do any coaster no problem.
  14. I'm thinking about it. I don't know if I'm seriously considering it yet, but it's a possibility, so I filled one out anyway. I would be interested in the Texas one depending on when it is in May, if it's early May, forget it, but if it's the end of May going into June, then I might be able to. Same with the East Coast one, it has to be the beginning of August. I would love to go on that one, though, because I was supposed to go to GADV next week, but it got cancelled because of a family medical emergency. I'll wait and see, though.
  15. When can we expect a download?
  16. ^ Thanks, I tried going around the circle, and it was a lot easier and smoother. I'll keep that for future coasters. Any more comments before I get started on my next NL project?
  17. ^ Nope, didn't notice it at all whenever I rode it.
  18. ^ I hope to when I go there later this summer sometime. The last time I was at KI was the year SOB opened and I was afraid of coasters back then, so I have never ridden it.
  19. I had the same problem, but just tried it again. It works again.
  20. I was thinking about going this summer, I guess I should because I haven't been there in like 3 years. I want to get a few last good rides on Dominator. Just in case.
  21. Actually, TTD would eat up the whole budget. But you could probably get the large B&M 3 Voyages, 2 El Toro, and maybe a Rampage on the side... Yeah, he's saying that it could buy any one of those things...3 Voyages being one, 2 El Toros being one, etc. Not all of them combined.
  22. The Q line is designed to be exactly 2 hours and when it's full, not many more people are going to get into the line. Most of them are probably thinking, "We'll come by again later when it's less crowded" and it rarely spills out into the midway. Even so, the line moves VERY fast, it's consistently moving. When I was in line, I was never standing still in one spot for more than 30 seconds. Most of the time they use all of the trains, they do stack them pretty badly, though. You just sit on the brake run for a little, though, that's all. Them stacking the trains benefits the line and makes it move faster.
  23. Yeah, it's not connecting it that's my problem, it's making the actual turn. How do I know it's even?
  24. At the Coastermania Q and A, they said they were planning to open it before July 4. Great! I don't really keep up on KI news, so this is awesome!
