  1. Strangely enough there are none. Like at all. It's ridiculous... not even hotels that meet your criteria, just any hotels.
  2. Mine kind of does. They're not going to put the entrance to a major coaster in the back of Planet Snoopy, so if they clear out that plaza and have the entrance parallel to the lift it makes sense.
  3. I really want you to be right and I really want this to be the layout (from the last page) but I feel like the drop follows the midway and splits around Diamondback way too perfectly in the one I came up with... plus the ride would just be almost entirely hidden from the midway which is possible (Beast) but it certainty makes it less likely.
  4. This is what I threw together. I hate this plan but it seems plausible, The turn just fits too well and would be a great visual element. The station in this scenario is around the same size of Diamondback's. Maybe a tiny bit shorter. I scaled the station before I put the drop where it is, its not shoehorned to fit. It just fits... and it splits perfectly to get under Diamondback's supports with an empty field waiting on the other side.
  5. IF there is a coaster. Don't get your hopes up. Have you been living under a rock for the last 2 months? This is the KI thread not the KD thread.
  6. I've never been to KI so I wouldn't know. Sorry. Lol don't be sorry. I appreciate you trying to answer the question I just don't think that's feasible. We're all just sort of thinking out loud here though. From what I can tell RFYLCB is safe. Zone 1A is behind the ride in the woods, You cross over the train tracks going up the lift hill into Zone 1C which is where the clearing we have been seeing is next to the new entrance to WWC. Zone 2 is between WWC and the train while Zone 3 is between train shed and the train tracks. But I am not certain how the train shed fits here. It feels wrong somehow or maybe we are getting a new train shed. I'm thinking along the same lines... and that's a big relief because getting rid of RFYLCB would be a real shame. I know I'm in the minority, but if you asked me to pick between a GCI and an Arrow Log Flume I would pick the Log Flume 100% of the time. Being able to have both would be outstanding though.
  7. I don't think it's going to face that way. They scaled it down way too much and in order for it to face that way it would go over the picnic grove which seems stupid to me. Look how small the station is in that mockup compared to the station of the junior hang and bang. No way...
  8. I'm having trouble figuring out the orientation of this thing. Okay Kings Island experts... based on what we know, assuming this is legitimate do you think Race for Your Life Charlie Brown is in the way or do you think there's reason for optimism here?
  9. Yeah I think I can take a beating. The lift hills on SFOT's mine train, The Boss at SFStL, even Boomerangs to some extent (except the restraints, I hate the standard Vekoma OTSRs, at least while going up backwards), stuff like that really doesn't bother me at all. The only coaster I've been on that I really don't like is Titan. It wasn't until the second or third time that I realized how much wasted track that ride has. I came off with a headache all three times. Plus, there's a good chance I'll get to ride one of the best Arrow loopers on this trip because Dollywood is on the itinerary and I've heard great things about Tennessee Tornado. Tennessee Tornado is amazing. It's just as smooth as an Intamin or B&M, it has a great location and a really cool first drop. As far as Vortex and Invertigo, one thing that Vortex has going for it is that between the crappy ride experience and it's awesome capacity the line is never very long. With Invertigo not only does the ride suck but lines can get really long.
  10. I thought Behemoth and Leviathan complimented each other very well. They both offer something a little different. Behemoth is a great coaster with a really cool location over the water. It should also be pointed out though that Fury is much better than Leviathan and Behemoth is much better than Intimidator, so there isn't such an intense contrast between the two rides at Canada's Wonderland. I don't think anyone would say that Intimidator is a bad ride, but Fury really does make it look bad.
  11. Totally disagree...Somewhat. Skip Firehawk and Vortex. They suck. But Invertigo is a fun ride...If it's running. But everything else he said, go with. I'm inclined to skip Vortex because of its reputation but I also haven't been on any custom Arrows or Vekomas before. Is it any worse than Corkscrew at CP? I was thinking about skipping that one as well but I do want to get in at least one Arrow looper just to say I've done it. Here's the thing with Arrows. They're all different and everyone reacts differently to each one based on specific body dimensions. For example, I hate Vortex but a lot of people enjoy it. I experience no discomfort whatsoever on Anaconda and most people have complete disdain for that ride. I like most Arrows actually but I hate Vortex and Corkscrew. So if you've never ridden one then ride Vortex, but if you hate it don't let it stop you from riding other Arrows. Even if you hate both Vortex and Corkscrew (like I do) you might like the other ones. They're not like B&M's where they all generally ride the same way. They're all very different.
  12. No. It looks like it's just a 2 dimensional drawing.
  13. I agree, the flyers at KD are very snappable.
  14. Don't look at the forecasts more than three days out, especially not on Lake Erie. All it'll do is stress you out and it's not accurate at all. It sounds like you have a solid plan. Remember the Mean Streak and Magnum tricks (front row lean forward on Mean Streak, tighten the seatbelt as much as humanly possible on Magnum... seriously, as much as possible). Have fun!
  15. I would love to see a unicorn that could fly that would give me hundred dollar bills every time I called it's name. You're not getting sh*t in that spot.
  16. Ride Firehawk and Flight of Fear first, then maybe Backlot (all are next to each other) then do whatever you want and feel free to take your time. Lines will likely be manageable everywhere else. If you don't care about credits skip Invertigo and Vortex. They suck. Don't skip the Bat (it's easy to miss) or Adventure Express.
  17. You leave and go to Knoebels
  18. Adventureland in Iowa. It's a little tiny Windseeker. It's adorable. I just want to reach out and pet it. It's much more reliable than Maverick is but easily the most unreliable ride at BGT besides Falcon's Fury (the other Intamin lol).
  19. Glad to hear it! Hopefully if this is a success we'll see more parks using this style of train.
  20. If you're on a budget I'd suggest staying off-site if you have a Platinum Pass or staying one night at Breakers Express to get the early entry but the next night staying somewhere else because the only reason you would need to stay at their hotel is for early entry anyway. You don't have the convenience that Boldikus mentioned but you're on a budget so you'll need to compromise a little. You NEED early entry though (for Maverick and Millennium, don't blow it on Valravn. Those rides have waits even with Fastlane, Valravn doesn't). And since you mention going to Dorney and Kings Dominion a Platinum Pass might be a good investment anyway.
  21. Yeah I don't think the question was ever about if they'd run 3 trains, it was just about whether they'd use a MCBR or if a variable speed lift was an option.
  22. I've waited quite a bit for Manta and Kraken. When we were there last year each had at least a 30 minute line. Crews were very efficient.
