  1. You are not missing much, my friend. The ride was OK, but any ride that calls itself a "coaster" when it is not needs to just go away.

  2. We had a really nice time at the park yesterday. It was a bit warmer and busier than expected, but ride lines were manageable. We grabbed QQ because the price is so cheap with the Platinum 50% discount and it was definitely helpful but not mandatory. S&S Screamin’ Swings are my favorite flat ride and Serengeti Flyer was no exception. We faced Kumba forgetting that most of the safari “action” is on the side facing Montu. It will be a great 1-2 punch once FF reopens next door. Fills a huge void! The biggest call out is that Kumba and Montu did have 2-trains running all day, which has been fairly inconsistent in recent months. Kumba was a walk on and Montu’s standby looked about 20 mins. The finally seemed to have fixed Cheetah Hunt’s operations. The sweet spot seems to be 4 trains, two stations with strict bag checks. The line was only about 30 minutes all day, which I think most know used to be unheard of. Just leaving a picture of Montu, because it’s Montu. And yep, Scorpion is open, running like a dream, and comfort collar free.

  3. Per the latest ElToroRyan video, El Toro won't open with the park (expected) but apparently neither will Medusa, Mine Train, or Skyride. I presume Log Flume would be thrown in with those closures as well. Basically HITP plus Kingda Ka/Zum. Not opening an entire end of the park until Memorial Weekend is hella premium.

  4. In case anyone missed it, their new ride for 2023 looks to be a retheme of the kids Wild Wheelz Arrow car ride. Sounds like some of the dinos will be animatronics!

  5. ^ That main museum Bert and I went though back in 2017, was amazing! So much to see and learn more about the park's past. But yes, it had hardly any people in it, that I remember. But it was a great place to just chill out, and learn new/old stuff about CP. Sorry to read that their planned Western Museum "might not be in the plans", any more. Past merry-go-round/carousel horses on display at the museum. Taken June 05, 2017.

  6. Yes! There are two areas that get splashed. One is to the left of the front entrance right near the fence. The other is across from Justice League's exit near the entrance to Pandemonium. Be forewarned.....the splashes coming off this new Mack Power Splash ride are much more forceful than the old Hopkins ride! Children can easily be knocked off their feet, even adults can be sent packing!

  7. Sportsdude360 - just curious: Is there a splash zone for bystanders, similar to the old Aquaman ride? At any rate, this does look amazing.

  8. You should be by now... you're only there more than anyone else in the country that lives outside of Florida. Seriously. Just move already! I have nothing else to contribute.

  9. ^But is it really unfit or is this some weird sketchy jersey thing?? Like are we going to find Jimmy Hoffa's body buried under the water park!?!?

  10. Holy crap those clearances. I know it's been discussed before, but it's pretty wild that they are building a coaster from the ground up in 2023 that you'll have to be careful not to reach out to the sides. I'm sure the trains will have arm guards to prevent this. It's such an old school design and I love it.

  11. We've lost another member of the original Lynard Skynard - Gary Rossington.
