  1. A faulty sensor wasn't the problem. Ride ops weren't the problem. Circumventing and altering manufacture regulations and design was the problem. Follow all the manufacturer rules and safety features and I'd hop on it again.

  2. I just realized I forgot to give an update after asking for advice on visiting the park about a month ago. So, I went right before hurricane Ian hit Florida and, to be honest, I still feel torn on whether or not I like this park or Hersheypark more. Regardless, Iron Gwazi is my new favorite coaster and I actually fit into it surprisingly well. On another note, Montu is easily the second best coaster in the park. That thing is amazing! Overall, it was a good visit and a good park!

  3. So glad you are taking the time to do the trip report and hope it is therapeutic for you! Just now getting a chance to sit down and get caught up since I left for a long trip the day you started posting (as you know) Really happy for you that you got to see the Arc de Triomphe in all its naked glory............totally covered in plastic when I was there

  4. ^ or they are actually getting rid of dragster all together and keeping on remnants of it to incorporate into a totally new ride but with the same or similar name. You don't remove a ride just for some tweaking.

  5. Yeah, not sure what richland is talking about. But since seeing the second installment of the pre-fab coaster is getting a full rehab, is it safe to say these coasters have a shelf life of about 15-20 years? I say that's pretty good as most wooden coasters continually have to have sections and track replaced ever so often. But still. I wonder if that's a written thing or just something determined by ride cycles or what. Hopefully SFGadv follows suit and just rehab the coaster and make it anew.

  6. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the major selling point of the Intamin pre-fab coaster was that it needed less maintenance vs a traditional wooden coaster? How are the other pre-fab coasters holding up?

  7. It seems as if the streets are lacking from years past. it just feels as if something is missing.

  8. I don't think you're talking about the same watch. . . They are talking about the qbot watch thing where you can reserve rides and things, you are talking about simply keeping up with time.
