_koppen
This fall the Happy Valley Shanghai opened up a water park, like so many of the other Happy valley parks. This one is the biggest of the bunch though, and the whole place looks great. It might actually be the biggest one in the world, right up there with Beijing Happy Magic Water-cube and Chimelong water park. Only thing it lacks is some thrilling speed /dropbox slides. To bad it's on the other side of the world. Here's the map for the whole park. Entrance plaza. Main gate. Here's the HUGE surf pool from Scottish Murphy's waves, the world's best wave makers. (note that the pool isn't even filled to the edge) It also have a smaller pneumatic wave pool on one side. If you count booth pool together, this might actually be the worlds largest wave pool, ahed of the one at Sunway Lagoon, The park have some big theming. Of course they have one of these! Love the look of the theme blowing a wind here. It has a nice kiddie area made by Proslide. And a kick-ass looking giant play structure from Whitewater. It's the same model that the rest of the Chinese parks have gotten. It sure is popular!!! I'm really glad our European water parks doesn't get this crowded. This looks to be a better day to visit this park. Whitewater also built a really cool looking 6-person Pythoon ride at this park. Along with there huge Abyss ride, instead of a Proslide Tornado. Whitewater sure have gone huge with there complex lately, like this one, the one in Dubai and the one at Nagishima spa land. There is also a lot from Proslide here, like this Tornado wave. A behemoth Bowl is also here. The whole complex looks really great! Proslide also installed a Mach4 complex here. Looks good, although the colors are a bit odd. Still people are having lots of fun! Whitewater also installed a smaller family slide complex, with a regular slide as well as an Constrictor. Here's more Proslide, the park sure is huge. It sure feels like China is getting all the cool new Proslide complexes lately. A really good looking Octopus racer. A Mammoth and a Mammoth Bubba, also from Proslide. One more look at the Whitewater complex. Some entertainment going on. Here's the parks river ride. It looks great! Really love the theme on this one. And here is some theming gone wrong.. There is also a pair of dueling Proslide 2-people rocket coasters here. I can only find construction pictures of these though. yay101
Great report! This looks like a great water park! I like the Mayan scenery for the water park! Actually I don't think the colors for the Mach4 look bad! I think not only could this water park use some speed slides, but I think it would be great if this water park built a "themed" tube slide which integrates the Mayan theme into the actual slide. That would for sure set it apart from most water parks!
cfc
Looks like a nicely themed park with a good assortment of slides--let's hope the operations are decent.
Jew
I predict each slide only being open for one hour at a time. And you must stretch before attempting to climb up the stairs.

Midgetman82
Looks like a pretty big and pretty nice water park. And it's nice to see more of those Hydromag Hornets being built. I just hope one would be built in America soon! Thanks for the report.
gerstlaueringvar
Wow! Where did you get these pictures from? The photographers must be really really lucky to catch a day that actually allow them to see the slides clearly. I've heard the water quality is going down because their water purification equipment is not good enough Still, only Chimelong knows how to operate a park and how to build a long term business. gisco
I predict each slide only being open for one hour at a time. And you must stretch before attempting to climb up the stairs. The slides will have staggered opening times too!
