Hail to Pitt indeed! And that's from the legendary Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride in Pigeon Forge from the 2012 TPR New Hotness Tour. They have these awful mannequins out front of the ride including some that look like guests in line to deceive people who drive by into thinking it is a popular attraction. They also have a permanent "Now Open!" sign that would lead you to believe it is somehow a new ride.

Yeah, the person in your avatar picture looks real, yet fake, yet real...reminds me now of 11 on Stranger Things, but older with gray hair. I've been to the Jurassic Boat Ride on the TPR Deep South Tour in 2009, but I don't remember the figures outside. I can, however, share this interesting image from that visit:

The bathrooms are just like China, except with porcelain and tiled floors.

Dear Theme Park Review Friends!

 

Welcome to the 10th Edition of our "One Photo for every park we visited this year" annual report for 2018!

 

Cheryl and I had another great year in 2018, visiting 101 different parks, fairs, and FECs all over the world. We started in New Zealand and Australia, and then visited Florida, Texas, UAE, South Korea, China, California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, France, Virginia, Ohio, British Columbia, the Netherlands, Germany, Israel, and UK. We hit some of the states more than once.

 

In terms of credits, this was actually our 2nd best year ever, with 175 new coaster credits for me. Cheryl usually gets a few more than I do because I get rejected in China sometimes. We managed to get on several of this year's exciting new rides, including Twisted Timbers, Steel Vengeance, Railblazer, and Oscar's Wacky Taxi!

 

I didn't think it was possible, but my photography skills continue to deteriorate. I'm lazier than ever. So sorry for that. If the France pictures look repetitive, that's because they are. The Mediterranean coast of France contains a string of seasonal parks and fairs, from the Italy border to the Spain border, and most of them don't open until near sundown (after the day's heat), so that group of photos are mostly at night. The fairs are largely carbon copies of each other, so apologies for repetitive photos.

 

Lastly, this year marked the end of a 10-year consecutive Disney park run. Starting in 2008, we hit some Disney park somewhere in the world every year, but sadly that streak ended in 2018. We half-heartedly tried to arrange a quick Orlando hop this month, but we couldn't get it together.

 

Next year starts in Spain!
