sfgoliath
When you look at Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls in Universal Studios Orlando, you see two big drops. Is it all one ride?, or are there two sides, each with their own station? If so, when you select your side, what is the names of the two seperate sides? P.S. Do they ever race each other? KrakenKing
It's all one ride... There is only one loading platform and one track throughout the ride until you get to the main drop. When you're heading towards the drop (On a busy day) there is a switch track (Sort of like S:UF)... one train goes down one drop.. then the track switches, and the next one goes down the other side... at the exit platform there are two sides, but after you get off, the tracks merge into one again. Also, no, they don't race eachother... the tracks are to close together and you'd actually be able to grab the other rider's arms. If one train were to go faster than the other and guests were holding arms, someone could get ripped out of the log... that wouldn't be good
sfgoliath
So your saying that each time you ride it you are only going to go down the big drop once? P.s. Is there only one lift hill for both sides of the big drop?
KrakenKing
Yes, you only go down the drop once, and yes, there is only one lift hill for both drops
sfgoliath
So you are saying that when the boat exits the lift hill, there is a track seperation that will make it that the boat only goes down one of the drops.
KrakenKing
Yes, and on busy days it alternates for each boat.. one boat goes down one side, the next boat goes down the other.

Gnome
Just curious about how the track seperation works, could anybody post a FULL RIDE POV of this ride so I could see for myself. Thanks It works like this..... *clears throat* Log on track then they come up to a transfer track. They go oone way. Transfer track switches side.. several seconds later the train following goes on the other side. And it switches back and forth. Then you continue on 2 seperate paths until you get back to the station at which some point you go from to tracks back to one.
waterviper
I think they should have made it race!! Since they both have separate tracks after the drop they both could actually race too the station. Should of made it a transfer track at the bottom with two lift hills. So the race starts on the lift hills. Then just make sure the two separate drop tracks are far away enough from each other and then you can have a race! I seriously think they should have done this! shesaidboom
^ The only problem with that is that it's a very long ride and there are a few lift hills/drops throughout. I don't think the final lift hill before the big drop was very long, but I have a bad memory so maybe it is It would be neat if they raced down the drop though.
