America Sings Freak Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Okay I have a few questions about the walk through in the Disneyland castle. Does any one remember the walk through in the Disneyland castle? Does anyone have any pictures from inside of it? Lastly Does anyone know why it closed in 2001 or 2002? Thank you to anyone who has any information.
DATman Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 ^I went in it once, it wasn't that great. I beleive it was a terrorist target (I could be worng), so they closed it off.
okinawaboy11 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 ^ That seems right. I think I heard that too. But also, they may have closed it to prepare it for the 50th celebration thing.
socalMAN123 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 ^ I think it would be to early for them to close it off if they closed it off for the 50th Anniversary. I agree with DATman, it was probably closed off because Disney was afraid that it was a terrorist target. ---Brent NOTE: Benji, let's use some correct grammer
Jon Sabo Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I have also heard through various media (cough) sources that it was closed for security (terrorist) threats and the potential "target" risk it has. I have also heard (floating rumors) that there was a structural issue (internally) and was going to keep peeps out for awhile to determine a fix...ala-Statue of Liberty incident.
DisWiz Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I think another major reason is that it wasn't wheelchair friendly. I think there's a movie over at visionsfantastic if you want to look around over there. Not really much to see, just some windows with some little figurines in them.
