coasterdude5 Posted May 14, 2006 Author Posted May 14, 2006 Oh, yeah, it looks sharp from that angle, but its not. Thanks for all the comments!
phazan Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 That design is a little weird. Having a sharp turn right after the loop. Â EDIT: *1400 POST!* Â Top Gun at PGA has a sharp turn after the loop, and it really adds to the ride. Nice coaster, very realistic.
julemanden_85 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 where can i downloade??? its nice park maan... want it!!
coasterdude5 Posted May 17, 2006 Author Posted May 17, 2006 ^When I complete the park. **New restaurant**  Drakul's entrance plaza turned out very good!  Drakul is built partially below ground to keep its speed  Whoooosh!!  The rides turn before the flatspin.  That's a signature shot right there!  Oh yeah, the restaurant, it's an O'Charley's!  More soon!!
kennywood!007 Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Nice work, this park is turning out great! my favorite Geboldi!!!
coasterdude5 Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 Thanks! Yeah, it's one of my favorites, too.
coasterdude5 Posted May 19, 2006 Author Posted May 19, 2006 **New Ride Rumors** Â Alot of talk is going around about the park's next major attraction. With construction on the Costa Rica port about to begin, there are tons of possibilities. One of the confirmed future projects is a new ferry ride that will take guests from the Ireland Port to the Entrance Port, to the Costa Rica port. Â The Costa Rica port will supposedly be themed to a ran-down carnival. But that is the first phase of the project. The second phase is rumored to include as the parl rep said, "an attraction that gives a flying sensation" Â One of the best rumors is a massive dueling flyer. Now the kink in this story is that Vekoma has been tied into the Costa Rica name. Oh yeah, they do make flying coasters! But, it could very well be a B&M. Only time will tell....
coasterdude5 Posted May 20, 2006 Author Posted May 20, 2006 Okay..... The big moment is here! What is Geboldi World Port's next attraction? Will it be a Vekoma lay-down or a B&M flyer....  Whatever it is, pieces are in those crates!  Alright, I'll make the announcement  Petras Petras, a one-of-a-kind dueling rollercoaster, will be flying into World Port soon. Riders will soar in "flying" trains, changing from above to below the track frequently.  The ride is being constructed by B&M and is being shipped here piece by piece. Petras will be the center-piece of the new Costa Rica port, which also includes three other new rides.  Petras is a dueling coaster, where riders will become within inches of their dueling opposite. The attraction is the park's most expensive to date.  Petras Stats Height-- 125ft./125ft. Drop -- 120ft./100ft. Speed -- 60mph/55mph Length -- 2365ft./2654ft. Inversions -- 3/3 Elements -- overbanked turns, pretzel loop, helixes, zero-g rolls  Now for the pictures!!  Overall layout  Overbanked turns (yes, the green side takes an inside turn)  The train soars over the Costa Rica port  A view from across the lake.  A view from the queue.  The intense helix section.  World Port let Vekoma and B&M submit entries, Vekoma entered a 10 inversion 100ft. tall single track coaster, B&M's was better!   Now for some kinda bad news, my graphics card can't hold alot, so I've been saving up for a new one, I should get it either next weekend, or that week. So there won't be any new sections added, I'll just post pictures that never made it into the update.  Comments?
coasterdude5 Posted May 20, 2006 Author Posted May 20, 2006 ^Thanks! Just a few weeks until I post the download.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Will there be ANY Vekomas in this park? An SLC a Boomerang I'll evens settle for a Corksrew!
coasterdude5 Posted May 21, 2006 Author Posted May 21, 2006 ^ Sorry, Geboldi mainly stays with makers that don't hurt.
coasterdude5 Posted May 21, 2006 Author Posted May 21, 2006 Oh, okay, hey, when it comes to Geboldi, ANYTHING is possible. Â The next attraction after the ferry will be a water ride. They don't have any unless you count Sultran, but it's technically not a water ride.
timetrial3141592 Posted May 21, 2006 Posted May 21, 2006 Thank you. If only I knew where my "Top Thrill Phallus" photo went...
coasterdude5 Posted May 21, 2006 Author Posted May 21, 2006 Here's a couple more pics. Â Pretzel loop insanity! Â POV shot!
kennywood!007 Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 I love that Flyer!!! It has such great layouts...look like they go together extremely well! Can't wait to see more. Keep up the fantastic work!!
coasterdude5 Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 ^Thanks! Â The next major update will probably be this weekend. I'm getting a better graphic card so I'll be able to add more to the park! Â Here are some plans and rumors that have been going around: Â The remaining two ports: Egypt and India are still in the designing stage. If I heard right, the India port will be more of a family/kid port with no coasters. Â Now the Egypt port is more interesting. With World Port's success, the town's council is considering allowing the park to build ONE coaster that can break the 199 foot barrier. (remember, Great Rebellion was allowed as it is also functioning as a cell-phone tower) Â Knowing Geboldi, they probably won't go just to 200 feet. I'm thinking a 300 footer. Obviously, it will probably be an Intamin, since B&M doesn't go that high. Â But another scenario I heard was the Egypt section become a waterpark. I highly doubt this due to Geboldi not having the best of luck with waterparks. Â Now this was really odd, I heard that Sultran will be closing after this season! The press release gave few details of whether it would reopen or not, the ride hasn't been as popular as they hoped, and there is a TON of land behind it, maybe an expansion of the America section! Â So, the next few seasons should be VERY interesting!
coasterdude5 Posted May 24, 2006 Author Posted May 24, 2006 ***HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT*** Â GEBOLDI HEADQUARTERS -- Two coasters, Sultran and Cannon, will be closing this season. Both will close and will not reopen the next season. The plans for these two coasters have not been released yet. Both coasters have been operating for nine seasons, opening with phase 1 of World Port. Sultran dropped riders 90 feet at a 90 degree angle. Cannon launched riders from 0-55 in 3 seconds, followed by hairpin turns and drops. Â Whoa! Two coasters at once! Ouch... Â EDIT - I've added pictures of the two rides for those of you who may be unfamilliar with them. Sultran Cannon
CP_RULES Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 I'm guessing these will be relocated to another GEBOLDI park, there's no wat they would just get rid of them like that.
