Ultra Twister coming to Six Flags America?

Opening day for six flags america is tommorrow, april 8th. I promise that by sunday I will post pictures of any progress towards the Ultra Twister's construction at the park!!!!!

this very well may be an 06 attraction. No, they wouldn't advertise a ride like this this early in the game. I have connections at the park who will give me some better insight tommorrow on this project. Look for my posts this sunday.

2007 - Ultra Twister - Rumor - (1/26/06) We’ve heard from a local source who confirms seeing Ultra Twister pieces on site at the park on the back of a truck.

 

(1/16/06) A reader has confirmed a sighting of Ultra Twister track on the back of a truck heading towards the DC area on I-66 outside of Manassas, VA. Even better... they took pictures! (1/13/06) I’m not sure I got the exact working right on this message, but it sounds like some pieces of Ultra Twister may now be on site at the park somewhere. Can anyone verify this?

 

(10/24/05) This isn’t exactly the park that I thought might get this unique ride, but we’ve heard a rumor that SFA is being considered as the new home for Astroworld’s Ultra Twister, currently the only Togo Ultra Twister in existence outside of Japan. Considering that the ride was once at SFGAdv, not too far up the freeway from SFA, I would have thought that a park in another region of the country may have had better luck marketing it as a new ride. We’ll have to wait and see on this one.

Alright, this will probably be a 2007 attraction. I think SF has more problems to worry about than getting up a really old coaster at SFA. Oh, and dude, watch for double posts and big unwanted spaces.

Ok folks, here's the skiny! Upon my visit to six flags america yesterday, I've come to the conclusion that as of right nowstoring the Ultra Twister. I spoke briefly with the new head of the park, who happened to run the New Orleans parks. He was reluctant to tell me anyhing about the ride. All i could get out of him, was that the park was working on alot of new things. But that the Ultra Twister was NOT in the plans as of yet. So, who know right now whats going on with it. The ride IS onsite in its entirety though. That i can comfirm! 've attached the only pics i could get of it. Sorry for the quality, but i could only get these pics from the lifthill of the Superman coaster!!!!By the way, Iron eagle has been completely removed. The flying bobs has been moved to where the chaos ride was, but its still not done yet. Also, as i was waiting in line to get in, a tractor trailer full of new trains for Roar arrived at the park.

Thanks for the UT update, I hope SFA adds it for 2007. At least it would be a unique advertising campaign for a ride thats 20 years old.

New trains for Roar? Are they the old PTC's, just refurbished or completly new ones? New MF trians?

I hate to say it, but I love the PTC's on the GCI's. Yeah, they are rougher than the MF trains, but the shuffle the PTC's need to do to track the curves makes the ride feel much more out of control.
