verticalzero Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 This looks like an incredibly fun small coaster: http://www.parksmania.it/english-news_news_zamperla--motocoaster-exclusive-first-pov_1911.html It's an interesting twist on the transportable Pinfari/Schwarzkopf Wildcat type design.
Imhotep Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Looks pretty nice for a little coaster. Looks like hes sitting in a cheap office chair though!
arrowfanman Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Lol...yup. Well, I can't see the launch being that big of a deal if your just going to have a block break right after it, but still, it looked really fun, and really well paced. I wonder how much this thing costs compared to something of this size, with a lift. -Jahan
Cerberus Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Neat. Looks like they did quite well to keep the pacing and excitement going until the end. some of the transitions look a tad harsh though (obviously due to the miserable size restraints of a tiny coaster), which I hope doesn't make it uncomfortable. Portable, is it? Would be good on the fair circuit. Especially the smaller fair circuit like England
DerekRx Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Looks like a really good compact coaster that I can see going into a lot of the smaller parks around the world. From what I've heard, the launch is similar to a shuttle loop launch, and is probably more reliable than some of the other launching methods. I hope to see some of these being built close by within the next couple of years. It looks lightyears smoother than the Volare. I can't wait to see what the seats and trains actually look like when they're finished though! I know one ride a BACT member will be pitching for the next couple of seasons.
coasterguy618 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Looks fun. It looks like it dosn't give up and it goes at the same pace mostly the whole ride.
pkdcoaster Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 pretty cool...I think it will be rare in the states.....What kind of launch is it??...anyone know? JEFF
DerekRx Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 ^^ One reason why it looks like it keeps the same pace is probably because there is only one train on the course, thus freeing up the blocking. ^If I recall correctly, I was told it runs on the flywheel launch system that good ole Anton concocted way back in the day.
