martinb Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I mean for example, Air at Alton Towers is sponserd by Cadburys Minature Hereos, but that just on the sign post saying "Air, in association with Cadburys Minature Hereos", and there some chocolates in the Air shop, but thats nothing compared to the Tidal Wave at Thorpe Park, I'm afraid I don't have any pics so I'll just have to descripe it as best as I can, Well everyone's heard of Original Source, yeah? The shampoo company, best for their tea tree stuff, well they are the brand new sponers of the Tidal Wave at Thorpe Park, and boy do they want you to no it!! The entrance to the queue line is now plasters in OS (Original Source) signage, boxes in the water are now boxes of OS stuff, the boats have been repainted to look like OS , around the entrance to the queue everythinf has been repainted to OS, the bridge has been repainted bright green and covered in OS signs, queue line themeing is now all OS!! So it now looks like the ride is now called Original Source, sponsered by Tidal Wave! Is there any other rides across the world like this? If os please post your pics!!!!
Reon Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Pepsi Python at Coney...Do I really need to say how it's sponsered?
martinb Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 Pepsi Python at Coney...Do I really need to say how it's sponsered? Yeah but the same could be said for the Pepsi Max Big One at Blackpool, but the only advertisment is the train goes through 2 giant Pepsi cans before the lift-hill!
Movieguy Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Ok, this question has been nagging me for some time, and maybe you Brits on the board can help me out...what exactly is Pepsi Max?...We don't get it here in the States... Doug "I know this has nothing to do with coasters. I'm just curious." Booth
Snuff Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Ok, this question has been nagging me for some time, and maybe you Brits on the board can help me out...what exactly is Pepsi Max?...We don't get it here in the States... Doug "I know this has nothing to do with coasters. I'm just curious." Booth It basically diet pepsi for men who don't want to be "seen" buying diet pepsi. Extreme Taste. No Sugar.
martinb Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 Well theres Pepsi and Diet Pepsi(with out sugar) and then theres Pepsi Max, apparantly its diet Pepsi with the Great taste of normal Pepsi! Pepsi Max Big One sounds very cool Pepsi Big one Diet Pepsi Big One
Movieguy Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Hmmmm...you know that actually sounds a lot like Pepsi One, which we have here in the States, so maybe we do get it...it doesn't really sell around here, mainly because it tastes NOTHING like regular Pepsi. More like the bastard offspring of Pepsi and diet pepsi unceremoniously mixed together. Coke Zero on the other hand...that stuff tastes amazingly similar to regular coke! Doug "Sorry for getting so off-topic about this" Booth
Flo3:16 Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Mhhh the Worst ride Sponsoreship i know, must be Fx/Ereaser @ Movie Park. Serously this piss you off quikly. Everytime the Ride starts you`ll hear a "Zoom Zoom Zoom" just like in this Freaking Car Comercial.
ECZenith Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I don't think it has the sponsorship anymore, but Playstation The Ride was a pretty horrible idea.
FlyingScooter Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 It was at a carnival that rolled thru cuyahoga county last summer. It was a Launch/drop tower ride that said is was sponsored by Viagra. The logo looked real enough, though i had my doubts about the validity of it...
Hercules Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Mind Eraser at SFA, sponsored by Slim Jim The ride is painted yellow and orange
Inferno Insane Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Ribena Rumba Rapids at Thorpe, why did they bother the classic Thunder River was so much better, Oh and anything to do with Imperial Leather (AT Flume and Chessie Bubbleworks) look better than they do now. I don't think it has the sponsorship anymore, but Playstation The Ride was a pretty horrible idea. Its still has a sponsor but now by Ice Blast which is a ice drink with frizz in many flavours
jamesdillaman Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Well I don't know if this is really a ride sponsorship, but it's always bugged me that coke and sprite logos are on the wood coaster trains at indiana beach. I think they could have left them off.
