So, theres a possibility that this May, on my birthday, I could choose one theme park to go to for a day. Now, Orlando has a buttload of credits and I haven't been to Disney and SWO in AGES. I have been to USF alot and I am going to wait until 2007 to go to Cypress Gardens.

I have narrowed down my list to three parks;

  • Sea World Orlando- Haven't been there since 1997, when JTA was still under construction and Kraken was just a rumor posted on rec.roller-coaster.

  • Disney's Animal Kingdom- Haven't been there since 2000, want to get both Primeval Whirl credits and of course Everest, just to see how freakin' big that yeti is.

  • MGM-Studios- I want to ride RnRc again, also, I have yet to ride Tower of Terror. Also haven't been there since 2000.

So, what park should I go to. And is there a good, cheap place to get a 1-day Park Hopper ticket if I choose WDW?

Oh man, to think you could have come with me in December! Parents will be parents, and you can't blame them. But I would say MGM studios, it's my second fav WDW park (next to Epcot) and if you have yet to get your ToT ride, then you better go! Have fun my man...

Well, a one day parkhopper ticket is $100.91 and a one day-one park ticket will run you $63.63...

A Florida resident pass will cost you $215.

So basically, how much do your parents love you?

If you can only do ONE park then pay up and get the one-day and throw a dart to decide which one you really want to go to.

What I would do is upgrade to a park hopper so you can at least do the major rides in both parks.

One thing to consider though is that your going to be paying at least a third to a half of the cost of an annual passport. Even if you only go one more time this year you'll have paid for it.

Otherwise SWO has a buy-a-day-get-a-year-free promotion I believe, maybe $10 more.

Either way thay are all great parks and you'll have a blast!

Happy Birthday

-Don

Sea World.

Kraken = My Favorite Coaster In Florida. JTA is underrated too, I think it's overshadowed in the multitudes of great water rides that Orlando has to offer. Depends on how "into" sealife and animals you are though, if not, head to Animal Kingdom or something. I'd put MGM last since I didn't really like the park all that much.

- Joe, who can't wait to visit the Animal Kingdom for the first time.

Since all these parks (and most of the attractions within) will still be around, as you and I get older and older....

I would go for the Two-Park-Hopper, like others here suggested. The beauty is, those two parks are on same property, with pretty good transport, and you get choice attractions in both, two of which are placed nicely side-by-side for your enjoyment, heh heh.

But for voting? Eh, I'll never tell, ha - ha - ha.

And ye$, it IS true - how much DO your parent$ love you???
