coastercraze2005 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Ok here's the deal. I waited an hour for Montezooma'z Revenge. This doesn't include the extra 20 minutes I waited after. I was entering through the gate to get on the ride. All of a sudden they make us get off saying that it's down for maintenance. 2nd was that Boomerang was down for rehab. The line for Xcelerator was nearly 2 1/2 hours long from the entrance. There was one positive thing. All three Supreme Scream towers were up and running. The line for Ghostrider was nearly 1 1/2 hours. I then ended up waiting 2 hours for Silver Bullet because one of the trains got stuck at the lift for a LONG time. I paid 20 dollars for THIS!
ECZenith Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Was this event on a weekend? What exactly was this event. I'm going for the first time in May, I had no idea it got so crowded. Hope one weekday is enough.
coastercraze2005 Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Yeah this was a private event but people told me that you were able to buy tickets at the door. It wasnt worth it though.
ParkTrips Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Private events ususally do equal long lines, why, I dunno but that's juding from ym experience at probably half a dozen such events.
Rollerholden Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I'm going for the first time in May, I had no idea it got so crowded. Hope one weekday is enough. I went on a weekday in August and one day was plenty. The longest line was fomr Supreme Scream because only one tower was going. Xcelerator had about 10 minute, same with Silver Bullet. Ghostrider had about 30 minutes.
Guy T. Koepp Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I have never had that experience at Knotts before. The longest line I have ever waited in there was 50 minutes for Boomerang. And that was during Halloween Haunt. that must have been a freak event.
Louise Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Was this the event that practically turned into a teen riot a couple of years back? I have some vague recollection of a few dozen teenagers getting arrested at a park event because the staff couldn't control their behaviour...
DegoRed Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 ^^ I'm pretty sure its California Junior Scholarship Foundation or Federation, I was a member of that back when i was a kid. Yeah I remember one night at Solace a few years back, they ended up splitting the friday night event with CJSF and the lines were pretty bad that night
