coasters 4 me Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Here I am again, working on a new project. It is a B&M coaster with 5 Inversions. Although it isn't all that high, (75ft) it still has a fast pace around the track. I was inspired my Black Mamba creating this ride, due to a lot of the coaster being underground. It has a speed of around 65mph (I will have better specifications of the ride later) and it really packs a punch. Enough with the talk, here are some pictures. Oh, and if you guys can come up with any good names, please post. Because I am not sure if Banshee is a good name or not. Oh yeah, please comment on anything you like or things you dont like. Station. Overview of the Coaster. Zero-G Roll into the Helix and then Brake Run. Better view of that part of the coaster. Zero-G Roll. Corkscrew over the queue. The first drop, into the loop.
FlippyTrick09 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Cool coaster! The lift hill speed was fast! haha all you have to do is add more themeing and the ride would look great! Keep up the good work- Mitchell
coasters 4 me Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 ^ I havent finished the coaster yet. There is still pleanty more to do. And I ahouls change the lift speed to 8 or something? Arent most B&M's 8mph?
Waterpark101 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I got a good one since it goes under ground call it Hellraiser, Demon, Hades, or Mars because of the punch it packs hope that helps.
smallish Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 It's a little too underground. Lower the ground in places it isn't underground for more realism. It would look great if it had awsome teraforming (or however you spell it). Make a long and well themed line that goes under many of the inversions. Oh, and if you don't mind making a completely different (but cool) theme, try Fenrir (scroll down a bit). You could make it race around snow-caped peaks. I'm pretty sure there's a snowy tree custom scenery piece by Elegitina (or however you spell it). EDIT: Nevermind, I think I'm going to use that name for myself! But use mythology.
Timpowes Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 That's a nice coaster you've made there! Some name tips... Riverdragon (Maybe make a river or lake next to the coaster or something. Got it from a song.) Wishmaster (Got this from a song aswell. ) Hells Angel (The Angel in hell ) Banshee (The name you got, wich is pretty nice for the coaster) Banshee Queen (Maybe that's if you make a smaller coaster as the one you got now) Blue Wave (Something familiar to Riverdragon) Hells Secret (It goes underground alot, maybe you reach the hell there?) Wind & Earth (Familiar to the name Hells Secret. Wind & Earth is more like you ride like the Wind near/under the Earth. Heaven & Hell (Also familiar to the name Hells Secret/Wind & Earth. You go up into heaven, and then you fall down into hell) Maybe these are stupid names for the coaster, but that's just some ideas I got.
Coaster-freak Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 hello, I'm just wondering how did you make the walk way on the lift hill its so good. Please can you post back. (keep up the good work) it looks so good. thank you Coaster-freak
CP_RULES Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 The stuff on the lift hill, along with all of the custom supports are part of the Steelworx add-on scenery pack that can be found here: http://www.rct2-online.com/80/details.php?id=7 coasters 4 me, about your coaster, I very much like the supports on the lift hill. this coaster looks nice. I want to see the finished product.
Timpowes Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Hey, I was just wondering... Are you going to put a download on this coaster when it's 100% (or maybe 99%) finished?
coasters 4 me Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 ^ Yes of course I will. I always put my creations I have been working on, on the internet. Thanks alot for all the names, althought I will have to think about them. And also, thanks for all the comments so far. I have never got this many replies in one update when doing my other creations. And dont be expecting an update like everyday, because at the minute, I have loads of hockey and really busy with school. So I will try and get onto RCT3 as much as I can.
coasters 4 me Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 ^ I will try and make a video. I have never made a video of a coaster in RCT3 so my FRAPS skills will have to come in.
coasters 4 me Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 I have worked a tiny bit on it tonight. I have decided to stick with Banshee because I have became to like that name, and I think the colors go with the name. But I was wondering if you guys would give me ideas of what to put in this empty space beside the coaster. If you look at the picture below, you will see the size. I really dont know what to put in there. I have tried putting a Sky Swat in but it seems to large and too much of an eye sore. And also, I have taken a video and it was way too big. It is more than 1GB and that is using Fraps. Does anyone know how to get it smaller, or even anyother video capturing programmes? Here is the empty space.
RJD Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 umm, how do you post pics. It said mine were 2.25, and it was too big. Does that mean that I couldve posted it if only I couldve reduced the size. Well irregardless can anyone who knows how to post pics tell me how to do so and reduce size step by step please.
coasters 4 me Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 ^ If you use Adobe Photoshop: -Open your picture, and go to Image and Image Size. Set the image to 800x600 and then click OK. -Go to file and click Save As and then choose from the list JPEG image. Setting will come up and then you put the meter guage down to what ever you want. I normally put it to six. But if your pictures are small enough in size, you can have it at twelve. Just change it according to what size you picture is.
Thrillrider15 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 You could just make the video in RCT3. The default key for that is ctrl+shift+f11. It goes slow, but it's worth it. Also the name Banshee was going to be the name of Mantis at Cedar Point. But the public didn't want it to be named that. And then the story gets mixed with Steel Force and all.
coasters 4 me Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 ^ I know it takes ages for a video. But I cant be assed to wait like 1hr for a video. But I should try it, and leave it and then do something else.
coasters 4 me Posted March 18, 2006 Author Posted March 18, 2006 I have finally finished the coaster. I am sorry for the lack of updates and all. And I have also decided to call the coaster "Jaguar" because I realised that Banshee doesn't really go with the theming. I hope you guys enjoy it. Please comment. Oh, and there is no video. Sorry. And...It requires Soaked! and Wild! and Pumper's Steelworx. and the last picture which is the over view of the whole coaster. Another View. A Top Spin in the middle of the ride, called Voodoo. Overview of the coaster. The last inversion, Zero-G roll into bunny hop, then Helix and Brake Run. Overview of the Zero-G roll and some food stands in the buildings. Picture of Corkscrew over the queue. The first full train about to ascend. Jaguar.zip The coaster file.
smallish Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I'll make a good video if you want. EDIT: Oh yeah, nice coaster.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 OKAY I AM REALLY ANNOYED. Where do people get the funky add-ons? i.e. The odd supports and the lift-side ramps?! I can never find crap like that, or create it my self!
CP_RULES Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 This has been said MANY times before in MANY different threads, but I will still be nice enough to give you this: http://www.rct2-online.com/80/index.php That is a site to MANY custom add-on scenery packs. EDIT- I just noticed that I have even posted that in THIS thread before, dude, you have got to look harder next time.
coasters 4 me Posted March 19, 2006 Author Posted March 19, 2006 You dont even need to have the add on. If you dont have it, it just wont appear in the game. The supports just add more realism. And if you want a direct link to the download, here it is: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=477830&perpage=30&highlight=&pagenumber=1 Oh yeah, Smallish, you can make a video if you want and post it in this thread. Thanks alot.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 To CP_RULES. Yeah heh heh i just noticed it and thought woops! And i really DO need to look harder. Sorry
smallish Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Sorry for taking so long to do this. VIDEO!!!!! Jaguar.wmv download!
