DarkStitch626 Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 Wow! This park looks amazing, DarkStitch! The woodie looks great, I really like the layout. It reminds me of the Voyage, a twisted back end but an out and back design for most of it. But with less crossovers! Is Red Phoenix going to be themed? The invert looks great, original layout! And for all those people who say that the DD:Fire wraparoun immelmann is the best maneuver, Jet Force Gemini kinda has one (but it doesn't wrap all the way around). Great theming, beautiful gardens next to the ride! The new Tangakia Steakhouse gave me the following impression when I first saw it: ! It looks amazing, definately a place I would love to eat at! Is the covered are next to the Steakhouse an eating area? All in all, great theming, great coasters, and great archy! Oh, and one last thing: This concludes my essay Keep it up! Actually yes, that is an eating area like most places have the little 3 rounded seat ,table and umbrella, I decided to make a glass topped covered eating area, it also has animated ceiling fans in it..hehe.
l3ite_me1313 Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Well.. I won't say that this park is AMAZING, cas it's not. What I CAN say though, is you have improved in your buildings. Nice Job Keep it up
DarkStitch626 Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 Wow thanks guys, update coming tomorrow for sure! New area etc. "Fort Cataban" will be a frontier esk area with a wild mine train coaster a couple of nice restaraunts and some new rides/
coaster_type_of_person Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I am really really loving the buidings and the theming, but some of your coasters could use some work. I like Jet Force Gemini though, 'cause it reminds me of Alpengeist, and Patriot. Awesome.
music11 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I like your themeing and coasters. But one thing i must say about your coasters is the first corkscrew on your invert is way off the ground but if you lower it it would look alot better. Also in your restaurant there should be a connecter(however you spell) between the restaurant and the eating area so it looks more like a real restaurant instead of a grab your food, pay, then go somewhere else to eat place. Great buildings and overall a nice park. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next update.

Yes I've been considering those thoughs actually but the first corkscrew on the invert I wanted it high off the ground becuase it kinda turns/twists up into it for a new look. Anyways onto the new Update "Cataban Mine Escape!" is the name choosen for the mine train, a very low to the ground high speed exploratory mine ride. The name was actually durrived from a Nuculer (sp?) power plant thats right upwind of my new house in South Caralina, "The Catalba Nuke Station". One neat feature of the station is you walk into the building and see the brake warehouse looks like a lumber storage area for construction etc. its very open to air. Then you venture into the station. The smoke stack literally explodes with a mini nuke blast scenery I added. Station! Layout!
coasterfreak101 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I like that coaster, DarkStitch! Putting some more trees in there would seriously enhance the feeling of speed. Also, those catwalks under the lift, they look different than the ones I use. Do you know where you got them? PS- You don't have to quote the person directly above you or even the 2nd person above you. Just put ^ or ^^ to direct you're post to whoever you're talking to. If the post you are talking about is more than 2 posts above yours, then you can quote Wow, I'm Da Boss !
DarkStitch626 Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 ^ Yes I know how to use ^ lol. The cat walks aren't those original grey first ever ones made. I got them over at New Element. Oh and tree wise I'm not done yet don'worry'bout'it!
Canobie Fan Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/cataban_124.jpg You need a few more trees around the mine train or a tunnel.
coasterfreak101 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 ^^Just makin' sure Also, yeah, a terrain tunnel or two on the mine train would look cool! The catwalks that I have are the ones by Phatage, but when the trains goes over the catwalks they merge and it looks weird. Like the trains are colliding with the catwalks. Does this happen with the ones you have?
DarkStitch626 Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 ^ Yea I am gonna add tunnels etc . Yes they do glitch as the trains pass.
DarkStitch626 Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 Quick update: Trees added to Cataban Mine Escape and "Loch Ness" like tunnel". I also added a new ride "Blade Grinder". There are more trees than this though. Looks neat I think. and from that point your insanely close to the Jet Force Gemini Immulmen! This layout pic was taken before Blade Grinder was added. its located in that opening very close to the JFG Immulmen.
DarkStitch626 Posted March 4, 2006 Author Posted March 4, 2006 I have created a new wooden coaster that better suits my park! The name will remain as Red Phoenix. Its ending is kind of in my opnion, like Superman The Ride of Steel at SFNE. It dives below ground without actually tunneling. Ending Finale! Layout ! I love the drop!
Luxo Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Wow! I really don't see anything to criticize in this park! Keep it going!
DarkStitch626 Posted March 4, 2006 Author Posted March 4, 2006 Now that ladies and gent's is called respect! LOL. Thanks for the comments everyone so far. New Update coming today(its 1:45 AM here) at about 2:30'ish.
DarkStitch626 Posted March 4, 2006 Author Posted March 4, 2006 Well here is the new Red Phoenix! Its got a multi color train too! As you see here is the layout. Nifty feature is the pre lift turn also houses the "Transfer shed" before the lift hill! The train of bright colors flies realistic speeds through the course of its Finale SROS style!
DarkStitch626 Posted March 4, 2006 Author Posted March 4, 2006 Here is a map update of whats been done/in planning. The green I speak of is by the red etc. Splashing good time you say?
coasterdude5 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Nice park! I really like the gradients on the wooden coaster train!
Loser_nerd Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 realy nice park, i realy like how its realistic, im used to seeing lots of fantasy parks. Its a good change.
DarkStitch626 Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 Tazuki's Kiddie Zone, (no not african) . As you can see theres a few rides in it so far but more will come. I liked building the ball play factory!. Soon to follow this is the coaster I promised kinda resembling Jaquar at Knotts.
BiCoastal Kid Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Yeah, I like the new woodie MUCH better than the old one. Very nice looking. Good jobz.
DarkStitch626 Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 I know its a small update but a good size one will come soon. I've started mass work on the kiddie zone, Tazuki's Playground. First up is the kiddie coaster based off of the RoadRunner's Railway type coaster. I also added Dive Bomb a frisbee ride. Dive Bomb Speedo Coaster!
coasterfreak101 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Wow! Great job on Tazuki's Playground! I really like all the theming! The only thing I can say is that on the Kiddie Coaster, that hill before the turnaround should be banked the other way, just for a little variation IMO. Again, great job! Can't wait to see more!

Thanks for the suggestion, I worked around the real thing thats why I put it that way lol. Its really funky, it turned up the same way slightly drops like a foot then turns. I thought that was odd myself.
