haiderodes Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I've been super stressed out lately and was thinking about taking a trip to So Cal this weekend. I was thinking about a trip to someplace I've never been...ala Legoland. It seems like a cool place. For those that have been there, would it be worth the trip for a couple of college guys?
robbalvey Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Personally, I really like Legoland! It's one of those places where you think "Oh, I don't need more than a couple of hours here" but then you end up staying most of the day. If you make a "San Diego Weekend" trip out of it, and hit up either Belmont or Sea World, then it makes for a great weekend trip. Just remember that most of the rides there are "family" rides, and if you're into that sort of thing, then it's a must! --Robb
haiderodes Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 That's exactly what I was thinking from looking at the website...its the type of place where you could spend a good day there. I wish I could make a whole weekend of it, but now its looking like we'll only have Sunday for a day trip and coming back Monday morning. I like coasters and thrills, but I LOVE the atmosphere of just being at a park. Perhaps Legoland is a good place?
ebl Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Go for it. Legoland is really a lot of fun! Eric
SharkTums Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Here's another vote for GO TO LEGOLAND! Seriously, you're around my age, you must have enjoyed legos as a kid, it's a pretty awesome place!
ebl Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 ^ Even I enjoyed Legos as a kid; of course they were carved from rocks in those days. Eric
Shockwave Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Legoland is great fun! I'm a big fan of the parks and how quirky everything is. I'm making a day trip down to Carlsbad in November to visit if all goes to plan.
RtherBOnACoaster Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Hmm. Now that you guys seem to be recommending the park so much, maybe I should give that place a second chance. I have only been there once, which was the opening year. I was kindof bored there though. But I live like five minitues away, so why not? But then again the price for an adult is a joke. They should charge more for kids and less for adults!
DATman Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I liked Legoland, and their mouse is better than Mulholland, so go for it!
haiderodes Posted February 23, 2006 Author Posted February 23, 2006 Thanks for all the input on Legoland! I was able to recruit another friend and we decided to change gears and go to Disneyland since its the 50th anniversary and we want to see the new fireworks! We are still planning a Legoland trip for the summer when we can include it with other stuff in the area such as Sea World, etc.
