MSLSM Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Since I got some help in the east coast questions, I thought I could use you again for my other trips. I would like to know about lines, must rides, etc. Parks I need help with: Holiday World PKI SFKK Valleyfair Geauga Lake WoF Michigan's Adventure
Carnage Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Are those the only parks you're vistiting? Or just the one's you don't know much about? Geauga Lake is far out of the way of the rest, and isn't really all that good. Michigan's Adventure I'd suggest you pass on. It was such a boring park. Shivering Timbers was very overrated. You'd be much better adding in Wisconsin Dells and SFGam.
larrygator Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 also you should seriously consider Indiana Beach, personally I think Valleyfair blows also.
MSLSM Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 ^^I am going to a lot more parks, but those are the ones I need help with. ^ Sorry, I have no intrest in IB Keep in mind that the only parks I will be spending a long time at(most of the day) will be: CP, PKI, and maybe GL.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 At PKI, you MUST ride Son of Beast! It is SUCH an awesome ride! BELIEVE me! *evil laugh*..... BWAHAHAHAHAHA Really, ride it.
rollermonkey Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Valleyfair is a LOT further away from the rest of the group, even GL or MAdv. If you are going there (VF), add Wisconsin Dells to the list. Y'know the town with Hades and Avalanche, plus about 6 or 7 other coasters, too.
Carnage Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 ^ Sorry, I have no intrest in IB Keep in mind that the only parks I will be spending a long time at(most of the day) will be: CP, PKI, and maybe GL. Any reason why? I didn't think it was going to be all that special, but I ended up having alot of fun at IB. GL you might get bored at. Should be able to do the entire park in a couple hours. And the only ride really worth reriding there is Dominator(formally Batman). Villian is good as long as you can stand the G-trains. They did have a wicked topspin, though I hear Cedar Fair castrated it. Seems CF doesn't really like their topsins to flip.
larrygator Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Any reason why? I didn't think it was going to be all that special, but I ended up having alot of fun at IB. I was totally impressed with the way IB runs their flats and the potential winds off the lake created wild rides on the YoYo and Air Crow. I loved Cornball and Hossier Hurricane. I enjoy LoCoSoMo more then most people and the Haunted House is classic.
MSLSM Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 I am going to the Dells, Camp Snoopy(what ever it will be called), and SFGAM. I was just asking help for parks I have not been to. That means nno CP, help.
M_Force_4_ever Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 ok heres some advice Holiday World PKI SFKK Hit PKI first then SFKK then Holiday World (SFKK and Holiday World you should be able to do in one day) Michigan's Adventure you will probablly be in your car driving there then you will spend time at the actual park, they only have 6 coasters 2 of which are kiddie coasters however Shivering Timbers is really good Valleyfair Geauga Lake WoF I don't know from personal experience but it seems as if these parks are all pretty far from each other so how you would hit all those in 1 trip would be pretty tough and require ALOT of driving Hope that helps
M_Force_4_ever Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Trip 2: CP, GL, PKI, MA, SFKK, BB, HW WOW, you are aware that GL and PKI are almost 300 miles apart and it would take you some where between 4-6 hours to get from one to the other...and I hope you don't mean Michigan's Adventure by MA beacuse from PKI that would take about 6-7 hours!
MSLSM Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 ^They won't be in that order. Those are just the parks I will go on one trip.
JamminJ Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 ^ Sorry, I have no intrest in IB So you're willing to miss out on one of the best parks in the country? Inquiring minds want to know..
M_Force_4_ever Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 ^uh thats pretty subjective...Cornball is above avarage, Tigger is great, the crows and the chairswings are very cool...other then that pretty ghetto
ParkTrips Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 huh I've NEVER heard IB called 'ghetto' :-/ Good thing your opinion won't stop ME from visiting!!
TheGreatOne Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 ^uh thats pretty subjective...Cornball is above avarage, Tigger is great, the crows and the chairswings are very cool...other then that pretty ghetto Wow, that's sad that you would think that. Indiana Beach is one of my favorite parks, and I had crappy weather during my visit and was soaked to the bone. They've got a classic pier/beachside atmosphere and some very well-run rides. I'd take Indiana Beach over SFKK or Geauga Lake (and Geauga Lake is a sentimental favorite of mine since I grew up there) anyday.
larrygator Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 It was pouring rain half of the day I was at IB also, but I loved it. The only drawback to me is the sub-par food selection (unless you like generic tacos).
