kat11joe Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I could use some tips and advice on what would be the best place to stay at for 3 days for the best possible price in the Anaheim area during February 15-18. The Disney resort hotels are too expensive for our budget and was thinking about staying at the Anaheim Best Inn but afraid that it maybe a roach motel since it's so cheap lol. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
dougr Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Red Roof Inn. HBO plus cable, free local phone calls, and when we stayed there, the LA Times was delivered to our door. Plus they are very reasonable and the Disneyland Shuttle stops there-$3 each for all day (2004). http://maps.google.com/maps?q=from%3A+100+Disney+Way,+Anaheim,+CA+92802+to%3A+disneyland&t=h&f=d&hl=en
socalMAN123 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Well, it all depends on how much money you're willing to spend. High budget- Disneyland Hotel Low Budget- Red Roof Inn (it rocks) ---Brent 8)
cfc Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 For budget and convenience, it's tough to beat the Howard Johnson's right across the street. More expensive than the Red Roof, I'm sure, but a nice hotel.
Jeezus Juice Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Carousel Inn, directly across the street from the main pedestrian enterence, free brakfast and really nice rooms. Otherwise there's the Park Vue, Tropicana, Desert Inn, and Park Inn International right across the street. Why do you guys insist on using $3/day trams when Harbor is full of places right at the entrence? Also people REALLY like the Candy Cane Inn next to the ABC Liquor Store near the 7/11 at the corner of Harbor and Katella. Never stayed there myself though. -Don
Wes Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Holiday Inn Express!! This hotel was really awesome for the price. I think it was like $75 a night during the peak time over the summer, so it'll probably be even cheaper in the off-season. It's walking distance to the parks, the bathroom is really nice and huge, there's a fridge in the room, there's free internet access (if you have a laptop), the TV's have all the basic cable channels. I stayed there for one night, and then my company moved me to the pricier, supposedly more upscale Sheraton, and I wished I could have gone back. http://showhotel.com/holidayinn/9280201/
tinkerbell Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 The Candy Cane Inn is probably the best Anaheim hotel we've stayed at. Also, the Marriott Residence Inn wasn't too bad either. Those two both have one of those complementary Disneyland shuttles. I've also heard good things about the Carousel Inn and some others that I can't think of the names of. The only hotel that we had a bad experience at was the Desert Palms Hotel and Suites. We only stayed there a night and then ended up changing hotels. http://www.candycaneinn.net/ http://www.residenceinnanaheim.com/index.php http://www.carouselinnandsuites.com/
arrowfanman Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 You should check the Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels page... http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/hotels/gnh/landing?name=GoodNeighborHotelsLandingPage This helped us. It is a list of hotels recognized by the Disneyland Resort. It says... Hotels are rated on amenities, service, decor, guest satisfaction, price and location before they can be deemed Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor properties. You can choose between Suites, Superior, Moderate, or Economy hotels. So if you want a cheaper place, click on the Moderate or Economy links, and browse some of the hotels they have to offer.
cfc Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 ^Hojos is one of those "Good Neighbors." Hope you have a great time!
