Mr.Six Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Wow, Julie. Its been really great reading your TR! I loved all the random things you included not to mention all the things to see at WDW. I think we can all honestly say that this has been one of the best TR's on this site! Hope to see another huge TR from you soon! _six
disneygurlz2s Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 CiCi's has frequent diner card??? Our doesn't have that!!! Shari "I love their brownies" Shoufler
BarryH Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Great TR, Julie! Hey, Julie likes roller coasters, theme parks, and CiCi's Pizza! Man, I like coasters, theme parks, and CiCi's too! Dang, if she ain't single, I must be gay! I love CiCi's because where can you eat a bunch of pizza and drink a lot of soda for around $6? The pizza is pretty tasty too.
amiles7979 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Julie - I think your friend Peter is about the cutest boy I've ever seen. Excepting, of course, Brad Pitt, but only with hair like in Oceans 11 and before he went to Team Jolie. Great TR - I'm a RADP regular -- regular reader, at least. Amy
bigbrian-nc.com Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Description: There were reporters there doing interviews also, most likely for a Podcast of some kind. The man sitting down was yelling into the microphone Home Shopping Network style about how his site is better than eBay. . Hi Julie I'm loving your trip report, I found your TR thru the link from Jacks page: http://www.wvnh.net/radp/ The guy on the far left with microphone is Lou Mongello webmaster of: http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com , and also, the author of the Walt Disney World Trivia book. I figure the other guy might be his partner in podcasting nathan rose from http://www.magicalmountain.net but I'm not sure on that point, it could just be someone he's interviewing. Their podcasts (including those from the Mega Mouse Meet) can be found at: http://www.mousetunes.com/podcasts.php Do I have enought links in this post?
mistermund Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 OK, sorry it's taken so long, but here are more photos to complement Julie's wonderful TR. (Taken by someone other than Julie) Yours truly along with Julie. Pumpin' it up. Well, almost pumped up. Now it's game over, and starting to deflate. I hope Kevin's not jealous. Proof that Canadians are superior in all forms of hockey.
mistermund Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Beaches & Cream... This photo goes best with "Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats. Try it. They tried to make this a serious picture. Really. The many faces of Kevin.
mistermund Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 At the MouseFest.... Deb Wills totally rocks. Like, major awesomeness. My photo of Julie taking a photo of herself.
mistermund Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 More pictures. Christmas parade at the Magic Kingdom included. Man, this is the life. Sittin' on Dad's shoulders, suckin' on your thumb... All true princesses ride sidesaddle. Ariel's got this weird growth on her head. One can never get enough pink hippos on rollerskates. I have no idea how this relates to Christmas. Snow White.
mistermund Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Messing around at the Magic Kingdom. Since when did the radio go from 55 to 160? Is this a thermostat? Props to those who know where this is. Hat trick. Kevin is an awesome photo subject. All you need is him, and hilarity ensues. Julie discovers rubber duckies.
Louise Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Amazing TR all the way through, and these last photos were great too. Julie, you look so pretty in the picture of you taking a picture of yourself! I sometimes think the pics where people aren't posing for and looking at the camera are the best ones. Mistermund, i agree that Kevin is a GREAT photo subject.
bigbrian-nc.com Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 "Since when did the radio go from 55 to 160? Is this a thermostat? Props to those who know where this is...." It's called an AM radio AM stands for Amplitude Modulation, before we has satelite radio, and even before we had FM (frequency Modulation) this is what folks had to use...but seriously I know todays AM radios are numbered diferently basiaclly they have multiplied evrything by 10 so the 160 on that radio would be 1600 on a modern AM radio.
USRoadTripper Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 Thanks so much for posting your pics Peter! You got some truly fantastic pictures of everyone during the trip! A few thoughts for you... -Yes, Kevin is quite the interesting photo subject -That's no ordinary ubber duck...that's the AXE MURDERING DUCK from Dollywood! He puts tha fear 'o god into other rubber ducks! -I just about peed myself when I saw the animated gif of us trying to get the milkshake photo! The fact that it plays over and over is pretty accurate of how many times we tried to get that photo right! hahaha -That photo of the little boy on his dad's shoulder is absolutely beautiful. If that were my son, that would be hanging in my living room poster sized. -Is "splorch" a real word, or is that a Peter word? -Julie
rollermonkey Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 WOW. I still don't understand what the group was you went to WDW with is about, but it looks like you had a fantastic time, Julie. Fantabulous TR. That gives me something to aspire to when I finally get the time to do photo TR's.
USRoadTripper Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 The group is RADP...rec.arts.disney.parks. You acess it on usenet, so you have to have a newsreader to access it. Basically, it is the predecessor to web based foums. But really, most of the friends I have made came from the chat, which is in IRC twice a week. I know, it's very old school! But we've all been a big family since about 1998, and I don't see that changing any time soon! -Julie
Hattuchili Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Oh, more Disney pictures! That is so great! Juli, I really like the picture of you, making a picture of yourself! I mean someone could make the same picture od me! However, Kevin is so funny in all his different poses. --Sören
CoasterEricHP Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 LOL.. Im still laughing at the carbonated pee.. Anyways i know im like.. a month late here but awesome TR!! Sort of depressed me though after pretty much living (and working) at the parks for the last two years Im stuck freezing my ass off here in PA! Anyways, I loved the cat picture from IOA! I totally forgot about them. I used to love being greeter at Dragons at close because like clockwork, right when the park closed, there are TONS of wild cats that run around. It's actually really fun. Once, we had to shut down the fire side for a few minutes because there was a cat just chilling on the brake platform.. and we didnt want a guest to kick it so sent an empty train and he was just chilling there.. didnt even phase him. haha. We ended up having to E-stop both sides and run out to there to chase him away! Alright, just wanted to have some story time. I MISS THE ADVENTURERS CLUB!!! (and the comedy warehouse) Eric
Guest Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Did you happen to stop at our local Whataburger on this trip?? Whoa whoa whoa!!! Hold up!!!... Gainesville has a Whataburger!? How did I miss this? I thought they were only a western thing? Either way, that's awesome! Anyway, great TR so far Julie. Although Whataburger started in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1950 the first Whataburger outside of Texas was in Pensacola, Florida in 1959. See, storehouse of useless information. I lived in St Pete FL for 10 months in 2004 and boy did I miss Whataburger! BTW, great trip report Julie!
