Hi everyone, Ok heres the situation...The other day I installed Norton System Works 2006 and ever since I installed it...like I could constantly hear my hard drive working and doing something. It got to the point where it was driving me crazy today, so I decided to uninstall Norton GoBack, one of the programs that comes with SystemWorks. The reason I decided to uninstall it is because on my downstairs computer we installed every SystemWorks Program except GoBack and it seems fine. Right now its currently uninstalling but its taking forever its only like 20% done after somewhere between 30-40 minutes...does anything think this will solve my problem or what else can I do? Thanks

It's actually kind of scary that a lot of the 'anti-virus' programs seem to create more problems than the virus' themselves!

Glad you got it fixed!

I haven't been real crazy about any of them. McAfee pissed me off, Pcillian annoyed me, and Norton makes me want to pull my hair out. I've turned off shceduled tasks and it still does them (only when I'm in the middle of something important, of course!).

The Norton products haev been good for me in the past, but this was the first time I installed Norton GoBack, and it was nothing but a pain, like I said it would make my hard drive constantly write stuff. Norton GoBack made me want to go back to the way my pc was before I installed that program.
