[youtu_be] [/youtu_be] https://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/ny-woman-dies-roller-coaster-france-20200705-mi3bly3evjfanaddt7xb7skiwq-story.html An amusement park attendee fell from a roller coaster and died over the weekend in a horrific accident in France, according to officials. The woman, who has not been identified, died at the scene after falling from the Formula 1 Coaster at the Parc Saint-Paul in Oise on Sunday, CNN reported. Responders attempted to resuscitate the woman but were not able to revive her. The roller coaster was previously at the center of another death at the park in 2009, CNN reported, citing the venue’s president. Parc Saint-Paul, which reopened on June 6 with new coronavirus guidelines, shut down the area of the park where the woman fell following the incident. “At this time, the cause of the accident cannot be determined,” an Amiens police official said, according to French outlet FR24 News. The woman had been at the park to celebrate her 2-year-old child’s birthday and was accompanied by her husband, sister and mother, FR24 News reported. SharkTums
That's really sad, I would love to know the details on what happened...other than "it's a PAX ride".
michaellynn4
Hopefully we find out more soon. Really sad that it was her daughter's birthday celebration - bad enough to lose your mother, but I can't imagine how that'll impact her birthdays going forward. ilrider
After reading several news stories on it with the same eyewitness cited, she was ejected over the safety bar, possibly on a turn. Her husband tried to grab her by the foot. Apparently someone else was ejected from this ride and also died in 2009 but the park was not cited then because the rider was behaving inappropriately.
