DenDen Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Well, as it stands now, We are predicted to be in the "dirty side" of the hurricane Wilma, which we won't feel anything real until later tonight. But we already got a taste of it... Last night, we got a small feeder band, and we had a tornado in our neighborhood. It didn't cause serious damage, but for those that know what a tornado sounds like, you KNOW how scarey it is. (I've been in near them before, its a very horrid sound!) All it did was blow furniture and branches around. But just thinking of that sound gets my blood pressure going... (cringe) The news is now on 24 hours a day locally. They are all warning that conditions are extremely favorable for off-spring tornados in our area, because of the cold-front that is pushing Wilma. This same scenerio happens a while back, and 7 twisters hit the south-east coast. We only have one interior room, it's actually a clothes closet, that I'm prepping today, JUST IN CASE! Welp, Wish me luck. I would like to think I will have a humorus report again, as I did with Katrina. All cameras are charged! Hope to see ya soon! Dennis "who is gathering his crack-stache"
Nrthwnd Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 hey kiddo - take care of yourself - and watch out for "flying objects" lol.
DenDen Posted October 23, 2005 Author Posted October 23, 2005 I just downloaded Accuweather Service on my Cell phone, (God i love my new phone) just in case we don't have TV for a bit. Time to put up the storm shutters!
Guest Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Good Luck Dennis. My Parents live in the Naples/Bonita Area and are already gone. They are in Jacksonville, and hopefully to come back with a home. I hope that Wilma doesn't pull a Katrina and strengthin again. Katie
Hattuchili Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Yeah, Good Luck Dennis! I hope everything will be okay with you and I cant wait to see the new awesome video! --Sören
Homer Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 I am not bracing much from this storm except for high wind gusts (74 mph expected in my area, so not much). Also, school got cancelled in my area. I love hurricane days!
DenDen Posted October 23, 2005 Author Posted October 23, 2005 Post-script: We just got verification that we did in fact have a small tornado that skipped in our neighborhood 2 nights ago. The house 2 doors down from us had their patio furniture sucked away, and thier awnings ripped off.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Good luck! Sometimes I like living in the middle of Indiana...

Nemmy Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 You mean to tell me that you, without any dental training, are using orthodontic tools to attach brackets and wires to your teeth that will straighten them? I am shocked! Jeff "I love finding literal meaning for things" Arons
Guest Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 My mom's home got a direct hit, due to it hitting Marco Island, and the eye being 55 miles wide. I am hoping there is a home left to come back to. Katie
Hattuchili Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Hey Dennis, I saw the news today and it looks really bad what Wilma is doing. I hope you are still okay! --Sören
